Good evening to our Travelfeed friends! Once again we are here sharing our travels around the world, and today was the day of a very special place!
We set off by car from Aracajú, the capital of Sergipe, to the region known as Canindé, about a 4-hour drive. The trip has stretches without cell phone coverage, and there are many speed checks.
We arrived at the Xingó hydroelectric plant, from where we would set off by boat to visit the São Francisco Canyons. We rented the boat and the trip soon showed us its beauty.
We took our time and made several stops, appreciating the rock formations that remained after the construction of the plant, which submerged most of the rocks.
We stopped at a natural pool where we used life jackets and flotation devices because we didn't know how deep the place really was.
After the tour, we started the return trip, already planning to dock at a restaurant on the way back. Seafood and French fries were our lunch!
An excellent option for a tour to discover a natural wonder. Lots of history and local culture, as well as gastronomy and joy!

Partimos de carro desde Aracajú, capital do Sergipe, para a região conhecida como Canindé, cerca de 4h de viagem via automóvel. A viagem tem trechos sem cobertura de celular, e muita fiscalização de velocidade.
Chegamos na usina hidrelétrica de Xingó, de onde partiriamos via barco para visitar os Canions de São Francisco. Alugamos a embarcação e logo a viagem mostrou suas belezas.
Com calma e fazendo diversas paradas, apreciamos as formações rochosas que restaram depois da construção da usina, que submergiu a maior parte das pedras.
Fizemos uma parada em uma piscina natural onde usamos coletes e acessórios para flutuação pois não sabiamos a real profundidade do local.
Finalizado o passeio, iniciamos o retorno já planejando atracar em um restaurante no caminho da volta. Produtos do mar e batata frita foram nosso almoço!
Uma excelente opção de passeio para conhecer uma maravilha natural. Muita história e cultura local, alem de gastronomia e alegria!
