It's always a good idea to take a getaway to the north or south coast, whatever your choice will be ideal to clear your mind and do some activities of interest to you. This is another of the tourist attractions that the city of Buenos Aires has and that allows visitors to see something more than just tall buildings and architecture... more nature and better atmospheres.
What we see in the first photos is part of the Río de la Plata, on the other side is Uruguay.
Many people only come to appreciate the horizon, others practice sport fishing and no one takes a bath in these waters because it has been contaminated for decades. so nothing that comes out of there is edible or it is but it is not healthy.
A curious and somewhat terrifying fact is that many years ago during a military dictatorship, bodies of political dissidents were thrown into the river.
So if you know the story well you may not enjoy it at all if you think about it, if you focus on the landscapes it is another matter.
The place is very popular and known for informal gastronomic sales. Very often (every day) people come to jog, ride a bike and eat the famous Choripanes.
This is one of the signs from one of the fast food stands that was along the north coast.
I have forgotten to mention that there are boat rentals, sailboats that offer trips to tourists on the river. At night they also take sunset walks with open bar and food service, they can be family, romantic or recreational walks in general.
There are also places that have been restructured, creating a special area with artificial beaches, sand, palm trees and attractions for the little ones.
At that time we were right in front of the Jorge Newbery Airport, so every few minutes we enjoyed the planes taking off and landing. A little noisy yes but not uncomfortable.
At night, at different points there are clubs, discos and they also hold live music events or festivals. What is most common is that they play electronic music near the fishermen's club.
A place worth visiting if you come to Buenos Aires one day :)
That's all folks! Thanks for stopping by and appreciating.
