Flying from Barcelona to Cancun

in #hive-1844372 years ago

Today we woke up at 5 am to go to the airport, we had ahead of us a long journey to get to our destination. We had been planning for this trip for a long time and today was finally the day.

For some reason I thought the journey wouldn’t be that long, but I was completely wrong. We first took a 9 hour flight to Miami which was exhausting.

After going through security in the USA, which is very long we took another flight to Cancun, Mexico, which was about a 2 hour flight.

Finally when we thought we were done we rented a car to get to our hotel which is in Playa del Carmen. When we got there it was 8pm, but for the time in Barcelona it was 2 am, which means we’ve practically stayed a whole day traveling.

I hope tomorrow I can show you the sights around Playa del Carmen.

Welcome to Mexico, all the best in the your trip!

Thank you!! If you have any recommendations about Yucatán please share them :))

I hope you enjoy your stay! I live on the west coast of MX, but I was in Playa a few months ago for a wedding. I assume you're staying at an all-inclusive resort??? Mind sharing which one? Just curious :)

Thank you! We will travel through Yucatán and we are not staying in an all inclusive since we are trying to discover Mexico by ourselves

Oh, even better! That is awesome! Tulum is really cool, we did our honeymoon there, although it has gotten pretty commercialized since we were there. But they still have some of the best cenotes and Indian ruins around. There's also a cool jungle tour you can take, monkeys, crocs, zip lining, lot's of fun.

Well enjoy your travels and take lots of pics! Lmk if you make it to the east side ;)

Thanks! I’ll be posting more pics about our trip

Wasn't there any direct flight from Barcelona to Cancún? How long was the stopover in Miami? What's the plan in Mexico? And how long are you going to stay? You said you've been planning a long time for it?... !CTP
