Encouraged by my alter ego's (@merthin) success in the last week's contest, let me enter with another photo from Mala Fatra Mts, Slovakia.

Main ridge of Mala Fatra Mts, Slovakia. The sharp peak in the middle is Velky Rozsutec

It shows part of the main ridge of the mountains. The sharp, whitish peak in the middle is Velky Rozsutec. The mountain is interesting geologically. It's core are granite rocks, but the top is adorned with white limestone.

Behind Velky Rozsutec, on the furthest plan, you will notice two prominent peaks. On the right - Babia Góra (Babia Hora) and on the left - Pilsko. Both are located on the PL/SK border. If you zoom into the far right, there's a mountain called Lubań, located in Polish Gorce Mts. The distance is 100km as the crow flies.

Wow. 100 km? I thought it was barely 50.
Sometimes we'll have to meet up in the Jeseníky Mountains and do a ridge hike from Karlova studánka via Praděd, Velký Vozka and Keprník to Šerák :-)

I can do the trip on a Saturday. Days are shorter now, but it's still within driving range for one day. Any free weekend after Nov 9?

I'm in České Budějovice. That's 300 km from Jeseník. I'll have longer time off until Christmas and then sometime in June and September 2025. Those are the only dates when I could go on a hike.

I could do Christmas, 25 and 26 Dec are off work days in Poland. I don't have any family plans and will be available

There will be a lot of snow. It will require cross-country skiing :-).
But that date could be realistic.
