The sea breeze welcome us as we paved our way to the shore on early morning of the weekend. Today, we are going to explore the astonishing beauty of The Hundred Islands located at Alaminos City, Pangasinan.
I always had a thing for nature, be it the tall mountains and the salt air brought by the sea. The comfort it gives me is different that no one could ever provide.
Nature has its own way of calming my chaotic mind and heart.
As I wander my eyes at the islands, letting it get the satisfaction from the beautiful scenery, my heart goes in a frenzy. I felt goosebumps as I feel the thrill of riding the boat and go island hopping. Swimming is not my thing, never it has been so it's really ironic doing this activity because I don't know how to swim plus the fact that I get scared when I can't bring my feet to the seafloor. I always had that thought in my mind of getting swallowd by the deep waves of the sea. But witnessing the magnificent view the islands offer, my fears and worries were thrown out of the window and was replaced with nothing but agitation.
Amazement was an understatement of what I felt as we go from an island to another. The blue green color of the water seemed unrealistic thinking how could such a masterpiece exists in the sea. The beautiful scenery left me speechless as my friends continue to have their chit-chats as they enjoy our time on the boat. My eyes were only focused at the beauty in front of me. It felt like I was alone in the middle of the sea, feeling nothing but satisfaction.
There's a total of 124 islands here and it was believed to be about two million years old. If only I could visit all the islands, I would. I would love the spend the day here and also said to myself that I would definitely go back here because the time we spent weren't enough to explore everything.
We also tried snorkeling and cliff jumping. It was fun, I'll say. But I was never a fan of doing such extreme activities. I could watch, yes, I'd love the thrill. But doing it in actual? I'd rather go back home. I didn't know what came in to my mind that time that my friends were able to convince me to jump off the cliff. It took me several minutes to get myself ready. I hold on to my vest as if my whole life depends on it as I step my right foot and jump with my eyes closed. It was too high that my body felt so sore after the jump but as we swim out of the cave and do snorkeling, I can say the body pain was worth it. The fishes and the corals were just so beautiful.
After that activity, we spent our remaining time exploring the other islands and swim as we stop over. I would love to try their ziplines but unfortunately it wasn't opened because of the typhoon.
Overall, our trip to Hundred Islands was extremely enjoyable!
