Rashtrapati Bhavan and Parliament, New Delhi

Few last places before wrapping up at New Delhi

DSC07100.JPG

Rashtrapati Bhavan is home of our President and the Parliament is just beside it, both being high secured area, where entry is prohibited, so we had to see it from distance, but Mom was still happy to not walk a lot. The camera certainly did the magic taking some nice captures. There is a museum which can be visited from Tuesday to Sunday, but the last time slot is 3:30pm and entry is not permitted after 04:00pm. In total there are five pre booked time slots, where each slot can have maximum 250 visitors. Online booking as well as spot booking is available, you can find all details at this site.

The mega garden named Amrit Udyan, spread over 15 acres of land is also open to public between February to March and all details available here.

There is a virtual tour of Rashtrapati Bhavan as well, if you want to see it : https://virtualtour.rashtrapatibhavan.gov.in/

Seeing all these needs planning and time and we did not have plans for them. On our way back from India Gate, we just wanted to have a glimpse of these as it was already evening, and we did not have plans to spend any more time in New Delhi in this trip. May be next time when kids will go, I need to plan these carefully. And by the way the current president Droupadi Murmu is from my place and her life story is pretty inspiring, if you want to explore. When everything ends, hope still remains - her life is probably the best testimony of this statement.

The new parliament, this road probably connects to India Gate directly and I think, people having pass to enter the road may visit that way, but I am not sure though.

The security did not even allow to take photos on the road, so we had to be happy with this.

And finally saying goodbye to New Delhi , going straight to the hotel Sarovar Portico. The traffic was crazy in the evening and Mom wanted to eat something, so the driver managed to find a place where we could eat Dosa.

But then these guys were serving something else so we had to walk another south indian hotel, three doors apart.

Not a bad deal in Connaught Place, the posh area of Capital.

The room in hotel Sarovar Portico did not meet my expectation, as it appeared to be pretty small. I booked the Sarovar chain of hotels in the entire trip, where ever available, so I complained about it to my tour operator asking for a better room in next place. Mom was very tired, and almost sleeping but I had to do the oil massage therapy on her legs , to be ready for next day. I don't know, if I will be even able to walk so much at her age, but the massage therapy every day in the entire trip definitely helped a lot.

It was a surprise to see raining in the morning, but we had to be ready to leave for Vrindavan.

As usual pretty of options on breakfast and the ambience was good and so was the food. It was only the rooms that was bit disappointing, but may be that's ok for a commercial place like New Delhi ?

Indeed camera did the magic, but your photographic skill can not be discounted.

Rasthrapati Bhavan is a perfect demonstration of Indo-European-Mughal Architecture.

Thank you.

Jai jagannath.

Rasthrapati Bhavan is a perfect demonstration of Indo-European-Mughal Architecture.

May be next time will plan one day to visit all inside.

Sure Sir.....

Beautiful city and incredible photographs, friend, and enjoying it with your parents makes it even better.

What beautiful places are you visiting on the vacation you are spending in the company of your mother?
What a pity that they were not able to enter and that they were not allowed to take a photo of the front.
The hotel and restaurant you have visited look beautiful. Without a doubt it would have been a very rewarding experience.
Have a great day dear friend @sanjeevm

@tipu curate

Wow
The president is really enjoying. Just take a look at where he is staying
That’s a very big place
Nice pictures
Your city is beautiful

Even though the current preside is old, she still looks quite agile and strong. She must have really passed through a lot and it is quite amazing to see that her life is a testimony to many people actually

Vrindavan going to be interesting....I am waiting for it...hats off to aunty' ji..

hats off to aunty' ji

Even I also wonder, she is my inspiration.

How're you finding the A6400? I've been running around with the A6000 which is a bit older, but incredible under decent lighting.

Got my full frame 85mm arriving in a few days to use with it :^)

I am quite happy with the α6400, the 18-135 mm lens meets almost all need. I went for α6400 only because it has a built in flash, in case I need in night. Other higher models will need an external flash and since I use mostly for normal photography, this was the best fit based on my research.

Which one you are getting ?

Which one you are getting ?

Sony FE 85mm F1.8. Incredibly beautiful lens. It's full frame though so it'll be cropped to a higher focal length on the APS-C sensor on the a6000, but I plan on getting at least a Sony A7 III at some point. Super hard to find camera gear here in Armenia, so I'm likely to have to import gear.

Thank you so much.

you use the camera magic at its best. you have done very beautiful photography. thank you so much for shown us the Parliament house of India which is the symbol of the Mughal Architecture.

Really nice pictures. The first photo was marvelous, I like the contrast of colors between the building and garden. You were also able to capture the light effects on the building.

You visited a great place. You written about amrit udhyan, I was there in this feb. Your camera did a fab job and pranam to mata ji.

Will plan for another trip with kids, and prebook amrit udhyan.

That will be great, it's free still you have to book online. Waiting for vrindavan blog.

Good coverage of photos. Indeed the captures of touring around Delhi came out well. Hope your mother should have enjoyed this lovely trip.

thats a big house! :P

wow, the lavender cloth she had was beautiful!

Definitely some great pictures! The more articles of you I read, the more I think, I should go on holidays to India once in my life!

I think, once you come, you will come again.

That building is surely a popular structure there. I think I saw it in a Bollywood movie.

The city looks spacious. How I wish cities here are like that.

es una hermosa arquitectura la de tu país , además es antigua tiene historia..
