Today I bring an image of Ribeira Grande, the second city of the island of Sâo Miguel in the Açores Archipelago. In the picture we may see the old 17th century palace that today houses the city hall, a historic building that stands out for the arch and its clock tower, which originally housed the small municipal jail. The four huge trees in the square are Christmas trees, brought at the beginning of the last century from New Zealand.

Hoy traigo una imagen de Ribeira Grande, la segunda ciudad de la isla de Sâo Miguel en el Archipiélago de Las Azores. En la fotografía se puede ver el antiguo palacio del siglo XVII que hoy alberga la dependencias del ayuntamiento de la ciudad, un edificio histórico que destaca por el arco y su torre del reloj, que en su origen albergó la pequeña cárcel municipal. Los cuatro enormes árboles de la plaza son árboles de navidad, traídos a principios del pasado siglo de Nueva Zelanda.
