This is my official entry to the graffiti lettering contest 14 of @trippymane. Given the recent status of our brothers in Ukraine it is but necessary that we think about love and brotherhood. Unity and humility. Respect for life and the innocents. Everyone deserves love, care and support. Thank you to trippymane for this timely opportunity for me to express my creativity.
1.) I started with a background color which is my usual way of starting with my digital art wherein the design will be revealed after removing or scratching some surface colors. I mix several colors and they are random depending on my mood. I make sure I choose the bright and vibrant ones to perfectly contrast with a black background later.
2.) This is about making a graffiti lettering. The word that we are to use for this round is LUV. I made a rough sketch of the letters on another layer. This is how it looks like and I like it.
3.) Now starts the real process of scratching the surface color. Using an eraser brush I outlined the letters LUV. It is now up to my imagination and creativity how to manage the remaining areas outside of the letters. I can be very detailed or not.
4.) I defined the letters further by adding some more line drawings in them. Then I added a small worm on top of the letter V and an eyeball stuck in the middle of it. You can also see I started filling the right side with patterns.
5.) More details to fill the entire space like two more worms and a sun.
