Hola Street Art lovers :)
Sunday here and we are heading out for some adventure time, but before that, let me share some artwork seen and photographed along the Bayan Park - Ambiong roads and this would be the third and final set captured during our July drive to the city. Others were shared previously through my posts Faces and Graphics along the school and Colors of Bahong.
The first photo above was a mural on the outside wall of a 7-11 store taken while we were leaving the Cathedral - Porta Vaga Mall Parking grounds. I wasn't expecting to see any artwork there but thankfully, the hubby was maneuvering slowly as we descended the narrow exit I was able to take a single picture of it.
Unfortunately, there was nowhere to see who the artist was. I could not find anything online too so forgive me for the lack of info.
The abstract artwork below was found on the wall of the evacuation center in Purok 4 (Bayan Park Village), Baguio City. Just like the other pictures, this was captured while the car was running, I almost missed it, lol! There is no information as well on the artist or when it was created but from the sharp colors, I can only assume it wasn't that long ago.
A little farther down are some interesting doodles in Black and White. We stopped for a minute as another vehicle was coming up and the city's garbage truck was collecting and sorting trash on our side of the road.
And the succeeding arts were along Ambiong Road. They were on the opposite lane so my apologies for the not-so-good photos.
This particular mural had the logo and name of one of the universities in the city. I adore the sunflowers, the dragonfly in one of them and a bee in the other and on the basket of veggies.
There was more art on that side of the road but my captures were terrible so I chose to skip sharing them.😅
The last two below were snapped through the driver's side window. The rain visor is even included and on one of the pics, the husband's face nose, I had to crop it out, lol!
I can't help but silently laugh at myself for trying whatever way possible to take photos while on the road, lol! But yeah, that shows I am drawn to murals and art. The hubby would sometimes slow down when noticing I was clicking pictures but on that particular day, he just kept going and I couldn't blame him because we had a long drive ahead of us.
I'm still grateful to have captured these, and now recording them (hopefully permanently) on the blockchain. I'm glad we have the space here on Hive for them.
This is all from me and here's me hoping to find more art along the streets or elsewhere to document and write about next time.😉
Gracias and enjoy the rest of your weekend!
