It's Fri-Yay!
And a very wet one...
Yesterday's trip to Bontoc yielded nicely although the weather wasn't ideal. On returning in the afternoon, we felt sleepy probably because we woke up early (5 am) and it was rainy which makes sleep so inviting. Even our lil guy was deep in his snooze in the storage bag when he usually stays by the window and looking out😅
The hubby teased I should take the wheel but my eyes were heavy and I was also dozing off despite eating a few Mentos candies. I suggested we stop somewhere and rest for a while. And so we pulled over beside a waiting shed along the welcome signage of Sabangan to get some air, do some stretching, and photograph some cool murals too.
While it was not our first time to drive along that specific place, we hadn't had the chance to stop over before so being sleepy was kind of a blessing in disguise for it allowed us to enjoy the artwork up close.
But first, here are two snapshots of the place's landmarks (pictures taken through the windshield). Sabangan is a municipality (town) in Mt. Province and Poblacion is one of its barangays.

And here are the awesome art pieces by a certain artist called NSheen whose signature indicates they were created in July 2021 during the COVID period. I was particularly fascinated with the curvy young lady who seemed to be dancing, but the hubby says she was just posing. What do you say?😁
On the other side of that wall was a young, tattooed lad in a traditional costume holding a spear. I like how his hair and attire swayed like they were being blown by a strong wind.😊

These were also painted back to back on the other sidewall of the waiting shed. I don't know what they are supposed to be, but they could be representing someone historical or important. Tribe folks perhaps? Just a guess anyway as I do not have any sources of information or reference about the murals.

And lastly, this black and white piece was found on the outer wall of the shed. The date on it made me think it was the final piece created by the artist.
This by the way, is the spot where the artworks were seen and photographed (screen captured via worldmappin). We observed that the hut beside the waiting shed is used for sorting and/or collecting recyclables.
Like today, yesterday was wet and cold. We spent some 10-15 minutes there before we hopped back into the car and continued with our journey, stopping at other spots for more murals which I would certainly be sharing on another day. But yes, it was a delight to have viewed this work by NSheen up close.
