It was a hot day. I left the house with the desire to take a short walk, and after ten minutes my main goal changed to ‘find a place in the shade’. As it happened, I turned off the street into one of the courtyards. I noticed the green crowns of trees, brightly coloured flowerbeds and the thick shade from the high wall of a building. It all looked much more inviting than the hot tarmac!
I walked across the courtyard from end to end, and found even more than I had hoped for at first. In the far section of the courtyard, a blank wall was decorated with a scenic composition. The wall of a neighbouring building also became a painting site.
I was not able to examine all of the paintings. Some of them were painted on the wall at the back of the garden, and I did not dare to get close so as not to disturb the landscaping. Some of the drawings were almost completely hidden under the leaves of wild grapes. So I photographed what was available, but no more than that!
In the same courtyard I saw a wooden box, or a small wooden house. Its purpose remains a mystery to me. It looks neither like a cat house nor a dog house. Perhaps it is simply the decoration of a utility room.
I also paid attention to the numerous flowerbeds in this courtyard. Despite the hot weather, the flowers in the flowerbeds looked bright and vigorous. Obviously, these flowers are well cared for and do not forget about regular watering. I do not think that such care of flowers can be an initiative of public utilities. Most likely, the flowers are cared for by the residents of this apartment block.
