Good night, Hivers!
How are you? How is the first day of April going for all of you? Mine is going to be fantastic! And because it's been a memorable day, in many ways, I want to share with you a small set of photos that I took a few months ago, more specifically on September 15th, when I went to Amsterdam for HiveFest#7!
The VolksHotel main entrance
And why did I choose to publish them here today? Well, because the freedom that the city gave me, together with the feeling of security and mobility, turned that short period of my stay into days of great lightness of mind and fluidity of thought! I still remember that at that time I had set a "goal" for my return, and that goal was to be more active and participatory in the Hive community. Anecdotally, as some of you know, I was "forced" to step out of my comfort zone, and to redeem myself (in a way). In summary, a "less positive" event led to an adequate and not very positive response, which subsequently led to an action that, despite having been born and being a response to something less positive, generated a lot of confidence and a lot of positivity and a desire to interact and grow !
In alignment with the "genetics" of the city and capital of my country, Lisbon, Amsterdam is in fact a city that bubbles with activity, and that sets the difference from the Portuguese city for its joviality and peaceful coexistence between 2 and 4 wheel vehicles, and all passers-by who use public roads to get around on a daily basis! In this Lisbon has a lot to learn and evolve! Instead of giving priority to those who have to arrive faster (and which is necessarily and often associated with a metal capsule - commonly known as a car), pedestrians and cyclists are prioritized and respected in terms of their need to travel and their authority in the field. side by side with more developed but less efficient means! It is true, bicycles are in fact a great advantage in a city that was developed to respect them, and which has a fairly flat layout to maximize their potential.
The graffiti that I want to share with you today are just a small number that were on the Social Hub Amsterdam, and that presented gifts to those who casually wandered through the gardens and let themselves be carried away by their steps.
I hope you liked this publication of mine. The fact that I chose the city of Amsterdam and the HiveFest is not casual or fortuitous. Today, in conversation with @pardinus, I missed this fectival, and the desire to participate in its eighth edition grew in me!
