Nomination for HivePizza contest
Hello HivePizza community !
Recently I saw [an article](Help me find new-Bees to give Hive Power delegations to! https://peakd.com/hive-185582/@hivetrending/the-hive-pizza-monthly-contest-september-2023-edition) of @hivetrending passing by on my feed as it was reblogged by someone I follow. As I saw the word 'contest' in the title, I decided to read it and figured out I would like to nominate someone: @willythewhale. (Although his name suggests he's a whale, he joined Hive in August).
Introduction
Before I start to explain why I would like to nominate this person, I want to thank @hivetrending and the Pizza community for being so generous! Often people talk about onboarding but I think that retention is as important as well. Such initiatives definitely help, atleast in my eyes, to keep new users on Hive. One of the common ideas of new people is to get rich quick, they see big upvotes and want them as well. When they than end up receiving upvotes of a couple of cents with little to no comments on their articles, they often lose interest. A delegation of 500hp is an awesome way to help motivate people atleast to be active for that month in my opinion.
Why this nomination?
But now back to my nomination, why would I nominate @willythewhale?
- Active user: Since a couple of weeks I saw him posting articles in the WOO community. As his articles were qualitative and on a regular basis, I was already impressed at first sight. Even after a couple of weeks, he keeps writing on a (nearly) dayly base. Not only does he writes articles, he is active in the comment section as well.
- New user: The account got created in August 2023, so I'm sure he's still new on the Hive blockchain.
- Kind person: This isn't really a criterion but I prefer to support kind and grateful people over unkind or begging people. Ofcourse it's something subjective, but feel free to check out his articles and connect with him in the comments to discover it yourself.
- Interesting articles: Besides qualitative articles, his articles are interesting as well, atleast for me. I always like articles which have a touch of learning, being informative. As I like to learn new stuff.
Conclusion
When I look at all these arguments, I'm sure he will be a decent candidate who would use the hp delegation in a good way. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them in the comments! Thank you again for organizing this contest!
