Thrilling Adventure in God Of War. Atreus's First Kill.

Hey fellow gamers.

This is my first time posting in this community. And I'm even new to this whole platform. So, pardon me if you find out any mistakes in my post. Anyway, this post is about to share some special moments from my God Of War gameplay. You can also see my gameplay containing these events here.

This one shows the moment when I was turning a wheel to pull down the bridge so that we could get to the other side. But, pulling it wasn't enough, it's a little more tricky. Can you see the rock inside the cage? It moves with the wheel and the bridge. Players need to bring it exactly to the broken part of the cage and throw the Leviathan axe to cut it loose so that the bridge stays down.

This is quite a special moment. For the first time in the game's story, we were attacked by a gang of humans instead of monsters. They were a bunch of bandits and were pretty hard to fight cause their attacks were coordinated like a perfect team.

While I was busy fighting them, one of them got Atreus and Atreus had to kill that person to escape. Atreus is still a little boy and it was his first time killing someone. He was in deep shock and took a while to bring him back to his senses.

One of them was affected and turned into a monster after a while. Killing this type of monster is quite hard cause they don't take any damage from the Leviathan axe and you can only kill them using your bare hands.

After playing for a while we came to a bridge and found someone stuck there with some sort of dinosaur-type animal that was carrying things for him. Atreus helped him by saying something in the ancient language to the creature's ears. Then we found out that he and his brother were the one's built my sword and for helping him earlier he offered me to upgrade my axe and gears. I upgraded my axe, my vest, and Atreus's bow.

  • After that, he showed me a shortcut way to the mountain. But it was a risky one. We entered a castle full of traps and ticks/riddles to solve. Like in the first image, you first need to find the chain and then pull it to open the door and throw the axe right at the big wheel on top of the door to freeze it so that it stays open.

  • The next part is even trickier on the 2nd image. You need to push that board by throwing your axe on the marked part and you need to do it constantly until the trap beyond is opened fully. And then throw it on the wheel to freeze it. And you need to keep it there cause if you remove the axe, the roof will come down to crash you and it is full of spikes. I even had to fight a bunch of monsters that way. Bu constantly removed the axe to fight and then threw it again before the roof came down.

  • Then as you can see in the third image, there's another board and wheel which also helps to control the roof and you need to hit the corner of the door to open it. Just as how the boards work.

  • It's always fun to tear apart those monsters with bare hands. Gives evil happiness. I had to kill it barehanded cause my axe was in use to hold off the roof.

After getting out of that place, we found ourselves close to the mountain. For the first time, we had a full view of the mountain.
