Hello and Welcome back to my blog!
theHunter: Call of the Wild has one of the best landscapes depicting some of the real-life biomes worldwide. Most of those were wild and largely untouched but there are some maps where you can see that those landscapes were altered by human touch. One of them is the Spanish map, Cuatro Colinas, consisting of a lot of farmlands, roads, old bridges and the occasional structures like churches.
It has always been one of my favourites because of the farmlands and cultivated grounds. You will see a lot of flowers here. Mainly the big Sunflower fields that are gorgeous and the famous lavenders. This could be just 'eye candy' for some hunters as not many animals are found inside those fields.
Which one you like the most, the lavender or the sunflowers?
You will only find Roe deer and pheasants in these fields. But the neighbouring empty fields have a lot of need zones, especially for the Roe deer.
There are a lot of natural grazing grounds for goats that are found here. This map has a lot of Ibex species which are exclusive to this map. Even in this area, you can see the grass ornated with those white poppies.
As the sun starts to go down, it brings a lot of changes. The entire sky glows up with a faint orange which is more visible as more clouds cover the sky.
A big river divides the entire map into two halves. This river is not easy to cross and there are only a few bridge crossings. Once you reach an elevated point you can see the expanse of this river and the farmlands that are close to it.
The weather seems quite dry and these water sources should become good zones for hunting. But I rarely find animals here. Also, there were some bugs in the game which made some of the animals get stuck close to the river. That seems to be fixed now. Other than the massive river, there are a lot of lakes here. For a relatively dry place, the amount of big lakes is not low.
I love to hunt there and set up some camps and blinds so you can fast travel and change time according to the time of the day some animals come here to drink.
Let me bring your attention back to the flowers. This is not the only map with beautiful flowers, the recently added map, Sundarpatan has some gorgeous mountainous terrain with a lot of biodiversity.
My favorite has to be the famous Rhododendron flowers which the locals use to make juices. I have tasted these juices and they are very refreshing, especially after a good tiring trek in the Himalayas.
Finding flowers on other maps is not difficult, especially on slopes and forests. Silver Ridge Peaks has some wildflowers growing on the slopes. I am not sure what they are called, if you have any idea let me know in the comments.
I will be exploring the new map that just came out a few days ago. Good to see the developers making more content on this game but there were not enough unique animal species. However, strolling through the German wetlands in Salzwiesen Park would be exciting. I hope the multiplayer connection issues have been fixed and are not as unreliable as they were before this update.
And if we are talking about beautiful landscapes, how can we forget about the Crimson plains of the Yukon Valley reserve? Yeah, I know these are not technically flowers but leaves which reflect the red colour. But they are no less enchanting than any other area in the game.
Let me know which shot you liked the most. I love those Lavender fields. It was so lovely to stand in one and smell all the flowers.
Thanks for reading.
