So, I got a new CPU build, an upgrade you'd call it, going to an 8 core Ryzen CPU. That's when I noticed the significant increase in FPS, and then decided turning off FSR would be good with SMAA. The result is now something else, so I've decided to share shots based on environment.
Varying from the frozen tundras, the lush green, to the high cliffs, the in-between, and somewhere underground in the dark. Aloy takes her journey across a lot of the Forbidden West. Sometimes making discovery over newly found items. This sequel has so much to show for, and on the PC, it looks drop-dead gorgeous while running at 60FPS in 1440p resolution.

This is right after exiting the Tau Cauldron facility. I jumped out, and used my glider to land from 60-80ft below ground. The view here looks amazing, so does the waterfalls nearby. I swear, I could see different parts of the map from here, especially the north.
Recon took me to find a couple of machine beasts, most I avoided because obviously my weapon wasn't up to snuff for the encounters. But yeah, the winter and icing effect is spot on visually.
Soon as I head away from the frozen mountains, I find an old railway station. And yes, problem-solving to get the treasure inside involved moving carts on railway tracks, even switching the junctions in order to use them for climbing.
One of the doors are locked, which needed a keycode to access. I found a file codex where one of the ancient humans, stating that they've changed the password to the year the station was inaugurated. Should be obvious, the sign is there. Found my shiny treasure, got goodies, head to Chainscrape, and went around trading with the merchants for more metal currency.
Then I took a dive on one of the nearby water falls, I don't know, life was good, why not just live the moment when you can. Yet, there were people that needed me. I was heading to Plainsong.
I needed XP before I move to the next important quest, so I collected errands on my list, including from Plainsong, and followed the closest to after leaving Plainsong. My trails would lead me somewhere in the further plains with a remote village dealing with rebel attacks.
Seeing tents vacant leaves this haunting feeling, but it was leading me to the trail I needed to go to. Something's obviously amiss, where did all the people go? It was in my path that I found death followed, as well as rebels attacking a local village.
Me and the others fend them off, we did what we could, me for the most part was putting them down for the count, making it look easy. The chief thanked me, but said my job wasn't over.
And so, I went into the cave, as requested by the village chief. I had to do some climbing, but not before finding some burrower variants lurking ahead. I couldn't get the parts off them, but it was fine. Soon as I reached topside on the other end, the game changed. There was even a Snapmaw I had to take care, and this guy didn't seem like a spring picnic either.
