En dicha publicación, les compartía contenido sobre un libro que me sirvió mucho para mejorar mi redacción y escritura de textos. Sin embargo, escribiendo ese post surgió en mi la reflexión sobre la comunicación escrita en nuestros días, y cómo puede estarse deteriorando seriamente debido a causas como los teléfonos inteligentes, el internet o las redes sociales.
Otro factor muy importate es la inmediatez del mundo moderno, dificultando el aprendizaje profundo. Aún teniendo herramietas como Chat GPT, siempre queremos ir más y más rápido.

In that post, I shared with you content about a book that helped me a lot to improve my writing and copywriting. However, writing that post, I started to reflect on written communication in our days, and how it can be seriously deteriorating due to causes such as smartphones, the internet, or social networks.
Another very important factor is the immediacy of the modern world, making deep learning difficult. Even if we have tools like Chat GPT, we always want to go faster and faster.
Si bien no tengo pruebas de que realmente haya un retroceso en nuestras habilidades de escritura a nivel mundial, no se puede negar que estas causas pueden tener un efecto negativo. En teoría, vivimos en un mundo más educado que nunca, en donde es normal que las personas realicen estudios de cualquier tipo. Sin embargo, en la práctica esto podría no reflejarse del todo, especialmente en los que actualmente están aprendiendo a escribir: los niños. La pandemia también tuvo un efecto importante en todo esto. La digitalización de trabajos y estudios nos alejó del lápiz y el papel por varios años.
Cuado hablo de deterioro en la comunicación escrita, me refiero tanto a escribir correctamente como a escribir con lápiz y papel literalmente hablando. En varios países ha habido un regreso al cuaderno y lápiz, luego de ver que la digitalización total no era del todo positiva en estudiantes. No hace mucho conversaba con una persona sobre precisamente esto: el escribir con tu propia mano hace que las ideas fluyan mejor y conectes lo mental con lo físico. En mi propia experiencia personal, hubo un tiempo durante la pandemia en el que escribi muy poco con mi propia mano. Literalmente, pude llegar a sentir como volver a escribir con regularidad se me dificultaba un poco, además de cometer más errores de escritura.
While I have no evidence that there is actually a worldwide decline in our writing skills, there is no denying that these causes can have a negative effect. In theory, we live in a more educated world than ever before, where it is normal for people to pursue studies of any kind. However, in practice this may not be fully reflected, especially for those who are currently learning to write: children. The pandemic also had an important effect on all this. The digitization of work and studies took us away from pencil and paper for several years.
When I speak of deterioration in written communication, I am referring both to writing correctly and to writing with pencil and paper literally speaking. In several countries, there has been a return to notebooks and pencils, after seeing that total digitalization was not entirely positive for students. Not long ago I was having a conversation with someone about just this: writing with your own hand makes ideas flow better and connects the mental with the physical. In my own personal experience, there was a time during the pandemic when I did very little writing with my own hand. I could feel myself getting back to writing regularly becoming a bit more difficult, as well as making more typos.
En cuanto a escribir correctamente, gramaticalmente hablando, al menos nosotros en Hive solemos ir muy bien en ese apartado, ya que la escritura es algo que practicamos frecuentemente en nuestro blog. Pero en redes sociales convencionales, en donde el contenido suele ser más corto y masivo, al menos yo personalmente he visto muchas fallas en la comunicación escrita, y no hablo de errores menores. En muchos comentarios puedes verlo, o incluso en los mísmos títulos de videos en YouTube, de canales con muchos seguidores. Pero los errores que más me impresionan no son tanto los escritos en texto, sino los que aparecen en video.
He visto muchos de videos cortos (reels) en Instagram donde el único texto que hay es una frase muy corta que se suele colocar arriba o abajo. Pero a pesar de lo corto y simple que pueda ser dicha frase, suelen haber errores muy raros que quizás unos lo harán a propósito, y otros no, pero son algo así como: "mirar como el perro comio se la tarea" ó "estos dos gatos es muy especiales". No preocupa tanto quien lo escribe, sino la gran cantidad de personas que lo podrían estar copiando o ni se dan cuenta de dichos errores XD
No se trata de ser experto en gramática, pero al menos fomentar la escritura y su práctica. Es por ello que siempre es bueno aprender con la práctica de escribir, recibiendo información constantemente. ¿Crees que hay un retroceso en la comunicación escrita en nuestros días? ¿Te ha afectado la digitalización y la inmediatez digital en tus habilidades escritas?

As for writing correctly, grammatically speaking, at least we at Hive usually do very well in that section, since writing is something we practice frequently in our blog. But in conventional social networks, where the content is usually shorter and massive, at least I personally have seen many failures in written communication, and I'm not talking about minor errors. In many comments you can see it, or even in the very titles of videos on YouTube, of channels with many followers. But the mistakes that impress me the most are not so much those written in text, but those that appear in the video.
I have seen many short videos (reels) on Instagram where the only text there is a very short phrase that is usually placed above or below. But despite how short and simple that sentence may be, there are usually very weird mistakes that maybe some will do on purpose, and others will not, but they are something like: "watch how the dog the ate homework" or "these two cats is very special". It's not so much about who writes it, but the number of people who could be copying it or not even notice those mistakes XD.
It's not about being an expert in grammar, but at least encouraging writing and its practice. That's why it's always good to learn by practicing writing and constantly receiving feedback.
