FPV Mountain Surfing with the DJI FPV Drone

in #hive-18614111 days ago

Getting out on a beautiful, but windy afternoon doing some FPV drone flying with my DJI FPV drone, or what is often referred to in the FPV community as the 'potato' drone. I just simply call it the 'Tater', lol.

Today I went to the back side of my mountain homestead and got the DJI FPV all suited up with prop guards and landing gear, because I am in some high grass, and lifted off up the mountain!

Soundtrack is some original music I produced under my artist handle: Groove Logic. The track is named 'Sweet Dream'.

Anyway, until next time my dudes...

Be cool, be real, and always abide with the skies!

It's very beautiful. Mountains gather at very old volcanoes, is that the case?

No, this is not a volcanic area. This is the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in the US.

LEO Power Up Day - November 15, 2024

What a great location for tater cruising.

Yep, non-geofenced, lol, learned about that the hard way, lol.

But yeah, I am blessed to have such an awesome spot to fly.

wtf, Did you build this drone, my friend? My Mavic doesn't make those movements, haha, and it has a great camera. I want to see it entering 0.0 tunnels.

No, this one is the DJI FPV drone. It has the ability to fly like a Mavic, but also can go full manual with the right settings and fly like my home builds.

I like this one because of the fact that I can do full manual but still have some of the DJI safety features like return to home and auto braking, which is handy because it is after all a plastic drone, lol.
