Some time ago I went with my daughters to see the Valencia fair or ‘la Feria de la Naranja’ as some people still call it, in fact I showed them a bit of what we found there through one of my #TBT posts, however recently I found these pictures that are also part of that day and that bring back nice memories.
Hace tiempo fui con mis hijas a ver la feria de Valencia o "la Feria de la Naranja" como todavía la llaman algunos, de hecho yo les mostré un poco de lo que encontramos ahí a través de una de mis publicaciones de #TBT, sin embargo recientemente encontré estas fotografías que también forma parte de ese día y que me traen lindos recuerdos.
Walking towards Páez Street (so called because there is the former residence of General Páez, hero of the fatherland) in the centre of Valencia, we found several four-wheeled jewels, I know nothing about cars, I don't even pay much attention to them, but in this case it was impossible not to look at them, it was a collection of old cars, some models were even from the 30s.
Caminando hacia la calle Páez (se llama así porque allí está la que fue residencia del general Páez, prócer de la patria) en el centro de Valencia, nos encontramos con varias joyas de cuatro ruedas, yo no sé nada sobre carros, ni siquiera les presto demasiada atención, pero es que en este caso era imposible no mirarlos, se trataba de una colección de autos antiguos, algunos modelos incluso eran de los años 30
I was quick to pose with several of them as if they were my own 🤣 they were there for that very reason.
Yo ni corta ni perezosa me dispuse a posar con varios de ellos como si fuesen míos 🤣 estaban ahí para eso precisamente.
Some, the older models were so beautiful that if I had been allowed I would have taken pictures inside them, it is interesting to know that these cars were already driving around the city when I wasn't even born, they were even around during several historical events that I know only through the history of the 20th century.
Algunos, los modelos más antiguos eran tan bonitos que si hubiese estado permitido me hubiese tomado fotos en su interior, es interesante saber que esos carros ya estaban andando por la ciudad cuando yo ni siquiera había nacido, incluso estuvieron durante varios hechos históricos que yo conozco solo a través de la historia del siglo XX.
When I arrived at the house I showed the photos to my husband and he explained the model and year of each one. I was really surprised to see how beautiful and well preserved these cars are after so many years, you can tell that their owners do a good job of maintenance, preserving a piece of history.
Al llegar a la casa le mostré las fotos a mi esposo y fue él quien me explicó el modelo y año de cada uno. De verdad que me sorprendió ver lo bonitos y bien conservados que están estos autos luego de tantos años, se nota que sus dueños hacen un buen trabajo de mantenimiento, conservando así un trozo de historia.
I am not a car lover as my husband is, for me they are all the same, whatever brand or year they are, but I can't deny that I felt very attracted to these old models, so of course through these photos I took a nice memory of the fair. Yo no soy muy amante de los carros como si lo es mi esposo, para mi todos son iguales sean de la marca que sea o del año que sea, pero no puedo negar que me sentí muy atraída por estos modelos antiguos, así que desde luego que a través de estas fotos me llevé un lindo recuerdo de la feria.
