The year 2015 for me was a great blessing. I graduated with my bachelor's degree and in the same year, I passed the license exam. It was a blessed year also for my husband and one of our friends who is our high school classmate, and who is very close to my husband because they have known each other since elementary and have been friends until now.
We thought that after achieving those accomplishments, we could have a job that fit for our profession. But we end up jobless at the start of the year 2016. The good thing about it was we didn’t feel pressured and felt confident that we could find a job soon. Our parents did not put pressure at that time, they just guided us in finding a job.
While waiting for the good news from the applied job, it was the fiesta of the town of Medellin, when I invited my husband (we were not in a relationship at this time and we were treating each other as a friend) and another friend to join the celebration of the fiesta of Medellin since as I told before, Medellin was the town of my mother. They accepted the invitation because they had no work to do, and it would be an opportunity to explore Medellin more.
All three of us, jobless yet professional passers traveled to Medellin using the motorbike. We had our early dinner at the relatives of my mother. After having our dinner, my mother’s cousin took us three into one of the tourist spots of Medellin and had a zip line adventure.
The place was at Caputatan, Medellin which is far from the mainland. It was a secluded area but safe.
When we arrived, we felt disappointed since the zipline was not available during that time. Despite that, we took pictures as evidence we’ve been in the area.
Now, the tourist spot is not yet available. Maybe, because it was not maintained well. I didn’t know what happened to that place, but I hope they find ways to restore it.
**Who would have thought this travel was the last we had as a jobless person? **
Within this year, I landed a job that fit my profession. My husband and our friend landed a job next year that also fit their profession.
Time flies, we’ve been in service for more than six years yet as of this time, we didn’t have another opportunity like we did when we were jobless. We had no experience that we’ve traveled again together, now that we have a stable job. Our schedules never coincide, and we only have a get-together when one of us celebrates birthdays and fiestas. I already shared one experience when my husband and I attended the birthday celebration of our friend’s daughter.
I realized that in every event in your life, you must savor and feel it. Some events happen once in our life.
I’m still hoping our schedule meets and we can travel together again.
