Hello my dear friends, this week I will show you only one photograph as it was the only one I could find of that day, but of course I will give you some context because it was a very special day and above all a very pleasant one, full of laughter and fun.
Hola mis queridos amigos, esta semana les mostraré una sola fotografía ya que fue la única que encontré de ese día, pero desde luego que les daré contexto porque fue un día muy especial y sobre todo grato, lleno de muchas risas y diversión.
On that occasion I was with my cousins and a friend of mine at the "100% Venezuelan Rock Festival" that was the name of the event that took place annually in the north of my city, we had a wonderful time, we saw all the most famous bands of the country perform and at the end of the concert I remember that we saw the show of the Colombian band Aterciopelados, But I never imagined that after going to a rock concert I would end up at another concert of "llanera" music, that is, the native music of my country. What happened is that one of my cousins plays the harp, and at that moment he was at what is known as "Atardecer llanero", a kind of native music festival that, as its name suggests, takes place in the afternoon and lasts until the evening. My cousin wanted us to see him perform on stage because he was playing for none other than one of the best singers of Venezuelan music, Reinaldo Armas, so we went to see him. Unfortunately I don't have any more pictures from that day, only this one where I'm with my little sister, my cousins and my aunt (my cousin's mother) is the one wearing the hat.
En esa ocasión yo estaba con mis primos y un amigo mío en el "Festival de Rock 100% venezolano" así se llamaba el evento que se llevaba a cabo anualmente en el norte de mi ciudad, la pasamos maravillosamente bien, vimos actuar a todas las bandas más famosas del país y al final del concierto recuerdo que vimos la presentación de la banda colombiana Aterciopelados, pero nunca imaginé que luego de ir a un concierto de Rock terminaría en otro concierto de música llanera, es decir, la música autóctona de mi país, lo que sucedió es que uno de mis primos toca el arpa, y en ese momento se encontraba en lo que se conoce como "Atardecer llanero" una especie de festival de música autóctona que tal como su nombre lo indica se lleva a cabo por las tardes y que dura hasta la noche. Mi primo quería que lo viéramos actuar en el escenario porque tocaría para nada más y nada menos que uno de los mejores cantantes de música venezolana, Reinaldo Armas, así que nos fuimos a verlo. Lamentablemente no conservo más fotografías de ese día, solo esta donde estoy con mi hermanita, mis primas y mi tía (la mamá de mi primo) es la lleva sombrero.
I almost don't use a mobile phone, for that reason I didn't have pictures, almost all of them were given to me by my cousins who had a digital camera, that day was special for me because I lived pleasant moments, first listening to my favourite music, rock 🤘 and although I am not a regular listener of llanera music (music from the plains), obviously I feel very proud of it and I feel very well represented, also my cousin is an excellent harpist that makes the family very proud. Yo casi no uso teléfono celular, por esa razón no tenía fotografías, casi todas me las pasaban mis primos que tenían una cámara digital, ese día fue especial para mi porque viví gratos momentos, primero escuchando mi música favorita, el rock 🤘 y aunque no soy asidua a escuchar música llanera, evidentemente me siento muy orgullosa de ella y me siento muy bien representada, además mi primo es un excelente arpista que llena de orgullo a la familia. Muchísimas gracias a todos ustedes por pasarse por aquí para leer mi post, aunque sea el más cortito que he elaborado para los jueves de TBT 😄 gracias también a la comunidad por ofrecernos la maravillosa oportunidad de desempolvar estos preciosos recuerdos.
