So I was going down my blog to find where I last posted about this gift I got sometime ago and I realized it's been over a year already. Oh my! That's such a long time to how closely I remember it happened. Going through my gallery every week keeps me on a sweet and exciting throwback memories ride.
This week, I'm deciding to share pictures and memories of my first physical gift from Hive... A t-shirt from the afri-tunes community.
To be honest, I didn't think I'll be one of those who get this and to think I didn't have to pay or did I pay a tiny fee? I can't remember that very well but I know for sure, it was a gift when I got it. Because I felt all the happiness I do feel when I am gifted an item.
To say I was happy is an understatement. I've come to love Hive and the things I do here so a physical t-shirt that I could put on and show others that I belong to a platform like this made me feel so excited when I got it for the first time.
The t-shirt gifts went out to a few Nigerian Hivers and I got mine through my sister who got it through a waybill delivery from the community Admin. I remember how excited I was before I got the gift, the first picture I'll take and the first video I'll make with my t-shirt on... It was all planned out even before I got the t-shirt.
It has the logo and name of the community on it, the sweetest part is my name written at the back stating clearly that it belongs to me. There's also the motto of the community which is about music, one of my favourite aspects of life.
I've been an active member of the community until a few months back, I've taken some break from sharing videos. Hopefully I'll resume and do better with my video quality and even my voice sounds. But looking at these pictures, I've really had so many stories to tell about my time with Hive.
It's been over a year and one weird fact about the t-shirt still in my possession is that, I prefer to wear it when it's cold. The material type is so thick and it feels very comfortable to wear when it's cold or not very hot.
This throwback reminds me of the connection and online life I've come to know and build over time.
