Recuerdo que escuché estas palabras a ritmo de rap por ahí, creo que en algún programa de radio, me llamó la atención y cuando supe el nombre del grupo lo busqué en youtube. Aunque soy más de rock-pop, me gustó su propuesta musical, me pareció muy ocurrente su mezcla de hip hop con joropo y música en general del llano venezolano.

I remember I heard these words in rap rhythm somewhere, I think in some radio program, it caught my attention and when I knew the name of the group I looked it up on youtube. Although I'm more of a rock-pop fan, I liked their musical proposal, I found their mix of hip hop with joropo and music in general from the Venezuelan plains very witty.
Campesinos Rap se llama este grupo venezolano que nació en el año 2010 en Elorza, estado Apure y que poco a poco fue dándose a conocer por todo el país.
Campesinos Rap is the name of this Venezuelan group that was born in 2010 in Elorza, Apure state, and gradually became known throughout the country.
Un día vi que estaban entre los artistas que se iban a presentar en un evento cultural en Caracas llamado La Ruta Nocturna del Casco Histórico, y fui para allá a verlos en vivo.
One day I saw that they were among the artists who were going to perform at a cultural event in Caracas called The Night Route of the Historic Center, and I went there to see them live.
En este evento, que ha tenido varias ediciones, las presentaciones se hacen en las calles del casco antiguo por donde no pasan vehículos, en pequeñas tarimas ubicadas en áreas con más espacio. Hay un mapa con las diferentes actividades y la gente va haciendo la ruta y viendo lo que quiere.
In this event, which has had several editions, the presentations are made in the streets of the old town where vehicles don't pass, on small platforms located in areas with more space. There is a map with the different activities and people make the route and see what they want.
Fui con unos amigos y a todos nos gustó su puesta en escena, sus jocosas letras y en general el flow que transmitían. Campesinos Rap está formado por Pablo Cardoza y Reinaldo Gallardo, y han sido pioneros en eso de mezclar la música folclórica del llano venezolano con el hip hop.
I went with some friends and we all liked their staging, their jocular lyrics and in general the flow they transmitted. Campesinos Rap is formed by Pablo Cardoza and Reinaldo Gallardo, and they have been pioneers in mixing folkloric music from the Venezuelan plains with hip hop.
Su presentación no fue muy larga, creo que poco más de media hora, en la que interpretaron varios temas de su primera producción, no los recuerdo todos porque esto fue hace más de 10 años, pero sí cantaron las más conocidas como No compares y Me regreso pal Llano, que fueron muy bien recibidas con risas y aplausos por la gente que se paró allí a verlos.
Their presentation was not very long, I think a little more than half an hour, in which they performed several songs from their first production, I don't remember all of them because this was more than 10 years ago, but they did sing the best known ones such as No compares and Me regreso pal Llano, which were very well received with laughter and applause by the people who stood there to see them.
Cuando terminaron su actuación, me les acerqué para tomarme una foto con ellos, estos conciertos no tan masivos son chéveres porque si quieres saludar a los artistas es más fácil.
When they finished their performance, I approached them to take a picture with them, these not so massive concerts are cool because if you want to greet the artists it is easier.
Actualmente Campesinos Rap siguen activos, fusionando la música más folclórica de Venezuela con el género rap y otros ritmos, les dejo por aquí otra muestra más reciente de su trabajo 😉, ¡hasta la próxima!
