For today I bring rather recent memories, from last December, when I dedicated myself (as every year) to the installation of the Christmas decorations outside, it is a reindeer and a shooting star, elements that all the neighbors of my street install in front of their houses so that they look harmonious.
Para el día de hoy traigo recuerdos más bien recientes, del pasado diciembre, cuando me dediqué (como todos los años) a la instalación de los adornos navideños del exterior, se trata de un reno y una estrella fugaz, elementos que todos los vecinos de mi calle instalan frente a sus casas para que se vean de forma armónica.
I started in the afternoon, when the sun went down, but even though it is not a very complicated task, sometimes it gets a little difficult when you have to adjust here and move a little there because your wife keeps giving instructions, right @carmen1656? 😄 she kept telling me “turn it up a little more” It seemed that she was not satisfied with anything until she finally liked the result, could it be that all wives are like that? 🤔
Empecé en la tarde, cuando bajó el sol, pero a pesar de que no es una tarea muy complicada, a veces se hace un tanto difícil cuando tienes que ajustar aquí y mover un poco allá porque tu esposa no deja de dar instrucciones, ¿verdad @carmen1656? 😄 ella me decía "súbelo un poco más" Parecía que no estaba conforme con nada hasta que al fin le gustó el resultado, ¿será que todas las esposas son así? 🤔
Little by little the night was falling and then it was time to install the shooting star, that one goes a little higher, between the neighbor's house and mine, it is only a matter of holding it with several pieces of wire to keep it steady, and then you have to install the wires so that it can light up.
Poco a poco fue cayendo la noche y luego llegó el turno de instalar la estrella fugaz, esa va un poco más alto, entre la casa del vecino y la mía, solo es cuestión de sujetarla con varios trozos de alambre para que se mantenga firme, y luego hay que instalar los cables para que pueda encender.
Finally I took the cable to the house where I made some adjustments, I remember I was very careful because I have always had a lot of respect for the electric current, and ready, I just had to admire the result.
Por último llevé el cable hacia la casa donde hice unos ajustes, recuerdo que con bastante precaución porque siempre le he tenido mucho respeto a eso de la corriente eléctrica, y listo, solo me quedó admirar el resultado
And this was the result, at that time not all the neighbors had already installed their lights, the street looks more beautiful and cheerful when all the neighbors turn on their Christmas lights, so we agreed to make this type of decorations, in addition, in the process one socializes more and tightens ties of friendship with all of them because there is always someone who lends you a ladder or you lend one, or we exchange some tool and in that process we talked a lot and we had a great time, thank God.
Y este fue el resultado, en ese momento no todos los vecinos habían instalado ya sus luces, la calle se ve más bonita y alegre cuando todos los vecinos encienden sus luces navideñas, por eso nos pusimos de acuerdo para hacer este tipo de adornos, además, en el proceso uno socializa más y estrecha lazos de amistad con todos ellos porque siempre hay quien te presta una escalera o tú prestas una, o intercambiamos alguna herramienta y en ese proceso conversamos bastante y la pasamos muy bien, gracias a Dios.
