Honestamente, estoy lleno de frustraciĆ³n, indignaciĆ³n e impotencia. Por desgracia, Venezuela fue vĆctima de un descarado fraude electoral. Gracias al dictador hijo de puta de NicolĆ”s Maduro.
Honestly, I am filled with frustration, indignation and impotence. Unfortunately, Venezuela was the victim of blatant electoral fraud. Thanks to the dictator son of a bitch Nicolas Maduro.
Yo no soy venezolano, tampoco tengo familiares o amigos de ahĆ. Pero estas elecciones las vivĆ como si fuera un ciudadano mĆ”s de Venezuela. Porque yo puedo empatizar con todas esos millones de personas que tuvieron que huir de su hogar y de sus seres queridos, gracias a la situaciĆ³n paupĆ©rrima de su paĆs. Y me puedo imaginar lo difĆcil que es tener que alejarse de sus seres queridos por un dictador de pacotilla.
I am not Venezuelan, nor do I have family or friends from there. But I experienced these elections as if I were just another citizen of Venezuela. Because I can empathize with all those millions of people who had to flee from their homes and their loved ones, thanks to the impoverished situation of their country. And I can imagine how difficult it is to have to move away from your loved ones because of a tinpot dictator.
Les confieso algo, yo tuve miedo de vivir algo similar en mi paĆs, Argentina. El aƱo pasado tuvimos elecciones donde por poco no gana Sergio Massa. Un tipo que propuso en campaƱa regular las redes sociales y que se codeaba con lo peor de la polĆtica Argentina. Como Cristina Kirchner (condenada por corrupciĆ³n). Literalmente, las elecciones pasadas para muchos eran determinantes para decidir si se quedaban o se iban del paĆs.
I confess something, I was afraid of living something similar in my country, Argentina. Last year we had elections where Sergio Massa almost did not win. A guy who proposed in his campaign to regulate social networks and who rubbed shoulders with the worst of Argentine politics. Like Cristina Kirchner (convicted of corruption). Literally, the last elections for many were decisive to decide whether they would stay or leave the country.
Volviendo a Venezuela, lo que pasĆ³ fue un robo a mano armada. Honestamente, estaba muy confiado que la dictadura se iba a terminar. Porque creĆ que si el resultado de las elecciones era lo suficientemente descarado, no se iban a animar a cometer fraude. Porque una cosa es robar una elecciĆ³n pareja, donde hay menos de 5% de diferencia. Pero otra es robar cuando se estima que por lo menos hay una diferencia de 30% entre Maduro y la oposiciĆ³n. Al final optaron por realizar el robo mĆ”s obvio y alevoso de la polĆtica moderna.
Going back to Venezuela, what happened was an armed robbery. Honestly, I was very confident that the dictatorship was going to end. Because I thought that if the election results were brazen enough, they were not going to dare to commit fraud. Because it is one thing to steal an even election, where there is less than 5% difference. But it is another to steal when it is estimated that there is at least a 30% difference between Maduro and the opposition. In the end they opted for the most obvious and treacherous robbery in modern politics.
Todos los datos que se filtraban de distintas mesas y escuelas, daban ganador a Edmundo. Y por amplia diferencia, TODOS los datos lo daban como ganador por paliza. Es mĆ”s, en un momento los del centro de cĆ³mputos se les ocurriĆ³ subir una foto donde se ve en las pantallas de atrĆ”s. Donde se veĆan quĆ© todos los recuentos lo daban como ganador indiscutible.
All the data that filtered in from different tables and schools, gave Edmundo as the winner. And by a wide margin, ALL the data showed him as the winner by a landslide. What's more, at one point, those in the counting center came up with the idea of uploading a photo of the screens in the back of the room. Where you could see that all the tallies showed him as the undisputed winner.
Les juro que escribo esto con rabia. Venezuela estĆ” secuestrada por un conjunto de mercenarios hijos de mil patas. Honestamente, no sĆ© quĆ© se podrĆa hacer. OjalĆ” que el pueblo Venezolano pueda cazar a Maduro y colgarlo en una plaza pĆŗblica para terminar con esta pesadilla. O que el resto de los paĆses de LatinoamĆ©rica se ponga de acuerdo para intervenir ese paĆs y asegurar unas elecciones 100% transparentes.
I swear I am writing this with rage. Venezuela is held hostage by a bunch of mercenary sons of a thousand legs. Honestly, I don't know what could be done. Hopefully the Venezuelan people can hunt Maduro down and hang him in a public square to end this nightmare. Or that the rest of the Latin American countries agree to intervene in that country and ensure 100% transparent elections.

En fin, pude desahogarme. Espero que el pueblo de Venezuela encuentre la paz y la tranquilidad que se merecen. OjalĆ” esto termine pronto y puedan volver a sus hogares y/o vivir en armonĆa y democracia.
Finally, I was able to get it off my chest. I hope the people of Venezuela find the peace and tranquility they deserve. Hopefully this will be over soon and they can return to their homes and/or live in harmony and democracy.
