Inspired by @steemychicken1, who wrote about his trip to Mount Athos https://inleo.io/@steemychicken1/mount-athos-agio-oros?referral=alexvan, and the comments on it, I had to think about where we find our peace in the digital age of speed. It can be found in spirituality, in dialogue with the divine or simply in inner peace. As a Christian, but not very religious, I would see it all as one.
When I need this time, I take it. I usually go out into nature, where there are few people, with my mobile phone in my pocket and switch it off. I always have my mobile phone with me for emergencies, but I don't look at it and it's silent. For me, this silence is necessary because it creates inner clarity.
For today I have deliberately chosen two pictures, one of a church in the Bay of Kotor and another not far from us. The first, also connects faith, through a building that was difficult to reach, but when you arrive there, especially in the hot summer days, you are greeted by a silence that is also refreshing. It's a good place to meditate and why not talk to God. The second is from a place that is very lively in summer, but rather quiet in winter. You can almost only hear the sound of the water, the wind and what you create yourself. Both bring tranquillity, but they are very different. I like them both.

Man kann sie in der Spiritualität finden, im Gespräch mit dem Göttlichen oder einfach in der inneren Ruhe. Als Christ, aber nicht sehr religiös, würde ich das alles als eine Einheit sehen.
Wenn ich diese Zeit brauche, nehme ich sie mir. Meistens gehe ich in die Natur, wo wenig Leute sind, mit dem Handy in der Tasche und schalte es aus. Das Handy habe ich immer dabei, für Notfälle, aber ich schaue nicht drauf und es ist stumm. Für mich ist diese Stille notwendig, denn sie schafft innere Klarheit.
Für heute habe ich bewusst zwei Bilder ausgewählt, eines von einer Kirche in der Bucht von Kotor und ein anderes, das nicht weit von uns entfernt ist. Die erste, verbindet auch den Glauben, durch ein Gebäude, das schwer zu erreichen war, aber wenn man dort ankommt, besonders in den heißen Sommertagen, wird man von einer Stille erwartet, die auch erfrischt. Hier kann man gut meditieren und warum nicht auch mit Gott sprechen. Das zweite ist von einem Ort, der im Sommer sehr belebt ist, aber im Winter eher still. Man hört fast nur das Rauschen des Wassers, des Windes und das, was man selbst erzeugt. Beide bringen Ruhe mit sich, aber sie sind sehr unterschiedlich. Ich mag beide..
