Desde hace un par de semanas, Elieska me notificó que tendría una alumna nueva en la clase de pintura. Pero por diversos motivos no había podido asistir.
El interés de su madre porque asistiera a clases seguía presente y nos preguntó si podía darle clases otro día para recuperar el tiempo perdido.
Yo accedí, pero había olvidado por completo mi compromiso porque se suponía que ayer debíamos ir a grabar un vídeo para nuestro próximo evento.
Cuando Elieska me avisó que la niña vendría me tocó arreglarme súper rápido e ir a la academia.

Since a couple of weeks ago, Elieska notified me that I would have a new student in the painting class. But for various reasons she had not been able to attend.
Her mother's interest in her attending class was still there and she asked if she could give her another day to make up for lost time.
I agreed, but I had completely forgotten about my commitment because yesterday we were supposed to go shoot a video for our next event.
When Elieska told me that the girl was coming I had to get ready super fast and go to the academy.
La niña iba a ir a las 5 de la tarde pero llegó con unos 20 minutos de retraso. Mientras esperaba me puse a ver un capítulo de mi novela "Paquita la del barrio" 😂
Tenía tiempo que no me enganchaba con una, dejé de hacerlo por un tiempo porque soy de las que hasta que no termina de ver una serie, no puede hacer nada más.
Pero como ya terminó la otra serie que veía una vez al día, me puse a buscar y bueno, me terminé "enviciando"
Cuando por fin llegó nos pusimos a trabajar en el espacio que medio teníamos en la mesa. La niña estaba comenzando desde cero en el mundo del dibujo y la pintura, así que le di una muy breve explicación sobre la historia y le puse a elegir entre varios dibujos para que lo recreara. Escogió uno de un Dios egipcio.
The girl was supposed to go at 5 pm but she was about 20 minutes late. While I was waiting I started to watch an episode of my novel "Paquita la del barrio" 😂.
It had been a while since I was hooked with one, I stopped doing it for a while because I'm one of those that until I finish watching a series, I can't do anything else.
But since the other series that I watched once a day was over, I started looking and well, I ended up "enviciando".
When she finally arrived, we started to work on the space we had on the table. The girl was starting from scratch in the world of drawing and painting, so I gave her a very brief explanation about the story and put her to choose between several drawings for her to recreate. She chose one of an Egyptian God.
La actividad de observación le costó bastante. Traté de explicarle cómo podía utilizar las figuras geométricas para hacer la base de su dibujo, pero aún así no lograba recrear bien la figura en su hoja.
Es acá donde noto que los niños deben tener muchos ejercicios de observación para que puedan entrenar su ojo y así poder materializar en el papel lo que observan.
The observation activity was quite difficult for him. I tried to explain to him how he could use the geometric figures to make the base of his drawing, but he still could not recreate the figure well on his paper.

Ya luego que terminó la base a lápiz me preguntó que si podía colorearla. Le acerqué los creyones y acá comenzamos la segunda parte del ejercicio pues ella debía observar dónde estaban los colores y ubicarlos en su dibujo.
Ella quedó bien feliz con el resultado. Luego como nos quedaba tiempo y ella me había comentado que le gustaba dibujar flores, la dejé hacer un dibujo libre para saber que era lo que ella normalmente hacía y ver qué tal era su técnica.
After she finished the pencil base she asked me if she could color it. I gave her the crayons and here we started the second part of the exercise as she had to observe where the colors were and place them in her drawing.
She was very happy with the result. Then, since we had time left and she had told me that she liked to draw flowers, I let her do a free drawing to see what she normally did and how her technique was.
Hizo una flor con un lindo paisaje. Le pregunté que pensaba de las clases y el porqué quiso inscribirse.
Me contó que le gusta dibujar y pintar y es chévere poder estar en una actividad donde vaya a hacer eso.
Así terminamos la clase. Esperamos un ratito a qué la fueran a buscar y después me regresé con mi hijo a casa.
That's how we finished the class. We waited a little while for them to pick her up and then I went home with my son.
Él estaba en clases de inglés en ese momento que yo fui a atender a la niña, así que al terminar nos regresamos juntos.
El clima estaba algo raro, parecía que iba a llover pero ya luego no pasó nada.
Así terminó mi jornada laboral, ya la próxima clase será el día sábado. Les estaré contando cómo se adaptó la niña a sus nuevos compañeros 😊
He was in English class at the time I went to take care of the girl, so when we finished we went back together.
The weather was a little strange, it looked like it was going to rain but then nothing happened.
