After living in a rental apartment in Torre-Pacheco (Murcia) we now live in our own place at a resort. The resort is a bit inland and instead of 10min from the sea we now have to drive 30 minutes. But the difference is worth it. We now have a very spacious home instead of the little ones near the coast. For the same price this is almost 3 times bigger. Another thing we liked about this resort it's very quiet. A lot of people live here permanent so not many trouble-holiday makers here 😉
The resort has different subdivisions, each with their own style. Los Olivos are very modern looking buildings, you have areas with small townhouses, villa's with private pools, Pueblo Espanol in the centre with small apartments for holiday homes and El Oasis, more Spanish style and large terraces. We choose a corner apartment in El Oasis because of the very large terrace. In Spain you spend most of the year outdoors.
Each subdivisions has their own pools and sport infrastructure, and we can go to 3 pools (4th one is still empty).
So one of the first things I had to learn is finding my way around this place. So many streets and divisions. Where is the main office, my mailbox, the little supermarket on site and most important the restaurants and bars! I have a lot to discover.
And of course I meet a lot of new people. We have people from more than 60 different countries here. Most of them are very friendly, helpful and give advise when asked. This is a great place to live!
