Greetings friends and members of the community. This morning I had the privilege of participating in the VI Workshop of Young People of the Scientific Reserve of the Institute of Geology and Paleontology / Geological Survey of Cuba, held at the Guaicanamar Complex. The purpose of this meeting was to promote the exchange and discussion of research projects and work being developed by a group of young people in the area of Prospecting Deposits, with the aim of raising the level of studies and knowledge in the areas of mineral deposits, applied geophysics, geochemistry, etc., to solve important economic issues of the nation.

The meeting was fruitful, and after that we had the opportunity to share together a typical Cuban lunch of Moorish rice, pork, and the popular Cuban beer Parranda. All this served to strengthen the bonds of professional camaraderie and to make today a pleasant experience.

Saludos amigos y miembros de la comunidad. En la mañana del día de hoy tuve el privilegio de participar en el VI Taller de Jóvenes de la Reserva Científica del Instituto de Geología y Paleontología/Servicio Geológico de Cuba, celebrado en el Complejo Guaicanamar. Este encuentro tuvo como objetivo propiciar el intercambio y debate sobre los proyectos de investigación y las labores en las que se están desarrollando un grupo de jóvenes del área de Prospección de Yacimientos, con la finalidad de elevar el grado de estudios y conocimientos en las esferas de los yacimientos minerales, la geofísica aplicada, la geoquímica, etc, para resolver cuestiones económicas importantes de la nación.

El encuentro fue fructífero, y luego de ello tuvimos la oportunidad de compartir juntos un almuerzo típico cubano de arroz moro, carne de cerdo, y la popular cerveza cubana Parranda. Todo ello sirvió para estrechar los lazos de camaradería profesional y para hacer del día de hoy una grata experiencia.
