Blessing of the water, one of my traditions - Difference of normal water and its uses 💧❄️ Bendición del agua, unas de mis tradiciones - Diferencia del agua normal y usos

Holy Week is a time of reflection and reconciliation with ourselves and others. During this time we should recognize our mistakes or sins and seek true repentance that, by becoming aware of them, we learn and commit ourselves not to repeat them. During Holy Week the Catholic Church has several rituals and one of the ones I like the most is the blessing of fire and water that takes place during the Saturday mass.

In my house we had run out of holy water and it is a custom that we always have, so this year I could not miss the mass, because the last drops were taken by my grandmother a few months ago who was in poor health.

The mass began at 7.30 and ended at 10 pm, it is one of the longest because several things are done, it begins with the blessing of the fire by lighting the paschal candle which is a large candle that is decorated very beautifully and is kept lit for 50 days, 8 weeks and from it the other candles are lit to enter the church totally in darkness, it represents the transforming fire and the light of the soul that has been reborn.

After that the normal mass begins and ends with the blessing of the water, in this part the priest asks to uncover the bottles of water while he makes a prayer that with the faith of all present is what makes this normal water pace to make a holy water.

Last night I was surprised by something the priest said while praying and it caused me amazement and laughter, in his prayer he asked that the water that would be used for sorcery would not be blessed, that it will remain as normal water without effect. That only that which would be used for good would be the blessed one. 🤣😁🤭 because there are people who use it for these purposes, but I do not believe that holy water is used for evil.

What is the difference of holy water to a normal one?

Knowing that magic lies in the energy and intention of our thoughts and that they can transform matter, holy water is different from normal water because it remains uncorrupted, it is never damaged, that is to say that it does not rot when it is bottled and without circulation even if it is stored for years, nor does it fill with parasites or mold.

Use of holy water

In my family we use it to drink in times of health problems, to wash a wound, to sprinkle the body of someone sick and also for the house, with the intention of warding off evil spirits that bring sickness, scarcity and all those things that we do not want to have around. These are the same uses that the Catholic church has taught for thousands of years.

La Semana Santa es un tiempo de reflexión y reconciliación con nosotros mismos y los demás. En esta época debemos reconocer nuestros errores o pecados y procurar un arrepentimiento verdadero que, al tomar conciencia de ellos, aprendemos y nos comprometemos a no repetirlos. En la Semana Santa la iglesia católica tiene varios rituales y uno de los que más me gusta es la bendición del fuego y del agua que se realiza en la misa del día sábado.

En mi casa nos habíamos quedado sin agua bendita y es una costumbre que siempre tengamos, así que este año no podía perderme la misa, porque las últimas gotas se las tomó mi abuela hace unos meses que estaba quebrantada de salud.

La misa comenzó a las 7.30 y terminó a las 10 pm, es una de las más largas porque se hacen varias cosas, comienza con la bendición del fuego prendiendo el cirio pascual que es un velón grande que está decorado muy bonito y se mantiene encendido durante 50 días, 8 semanas y de él se va encendiendo las demás velas para entrar en la iglesia totalmente a oscuras, representa el fuego transformador y la luz del alma que ha renacido.

Después de eso comienza la misa normal y se finaliza con la bendición del agua, en esta parte el sacerdote pide que se destapen las botellas de agua mientras él hace una oración que con la fe de todos los presentes es lo que hace que esta agua normal pace hacer una agua bendita.

Anoche me sorprendió algo que dijo el padre mientras oraba y me causó asombro y risa, en su oración pidió que el agua que fuera usada para hechicería no fuera bendita, que quedará como agua normal sin efecto. Que solo aquella que se usará para el bien fuera la bendecida. 🤣😁🤭 porque hay personas que la usan con estos fines, pero yo no creo que el agua bendita sirva para hacer mal.

¿Cuál es la diferencia del agua bendita a una normal?

Sabiendo que la magia radica en la energía e intención de nuestros pensamientos y que pueden transformar la materia, el agua bendita se diferencia del agua la normal por mantenerse incorrupta, no se daña nunca, es decir que no se pudre al estar envasada y sin circulación aunque pase años guardada ni se llena de parásitos o moho.

Uso del agua bendita

En mi familia la usamos para beber en momentos de quebranto de salud, para lavar alguna herida, rociar el cuerpo de alguien enfermo y también para la casa, con la intención de alejar los malos espíritus que traen la enfermedad, escasez y todas esas cosas que no queremos tener cerca. Estos son los mismos usos que la iglesia católica ha enseñado por miles de años.
