Today was a banking day, as we had to go to get my father's bank cards that had been lost and the truth is that he has a hard time doing bureaucratic tasks, as he does not have much patience. For that reason, he has left those tasks to me. However, when he has to sign, it is necessary for him to be present, and today was one of those days.
My son was off today and wanted to join us. He loves spending time with his grandfather, although daily obligations often prevent him from doing so. My father also loves to be near his grandson because of his witticisms, which always bring a smile to his face, even when he is worried, it is these little things, like his witticisms that make my father happy, and make it worthwhile for all of us to be together.
Hoy fue un día de bancos, pues tuvimos que ir por las tarjetas bancarias de mi padre que se habían extraviado y la verdad es que a él le cuesta mucho hacer gestiones burocráticas, ya que no tiene mucha paciencia. Por esa razón, me ha dejado esas tareas a mí. Sin embargo, cuando tiene que firmar, es necesario que él esté presente, y hoy fue uno de esos días.
Mi hijo estaba desocupado hoy y quiso acompañarnos. A él le gusta pasar tiempo con su abuelo, aunque las obligaciones diarias muchas veces se lo impiden. A mi padre también le encanta estar cerca de su nieto debido a sus ocurrencias, que siempre logran sacarle una sonrisa, incluso cuando está preocupado, son estas pequeñas cosas, como sus ocurrencias las que alegran a mi padre, y hacen que valga la pena andar todos juntos.

Después de disfrutar de nuestro almuerzo, pasamos al otro lado del mercado, donde mi papá tenía que comprar unas cervezas para un amigo. A decir verdad, él no toma cervezas porque su salud se lo tiene prohibido.
With his gift in hand, we headed to his friend's house, who lives in the urbanization “La Auyama”. I was surprised by the number of buildings in that area. It was the first time I entered this urbanization, where they have given housing to many people of low and medium income who had no home of their own.
Con su obsequio en mano, nos dirigimos a casa de su amigo, que vive en la urbanización "La Auyama". Me sorprendió la cantidad de edificios que hay en esa zona. Era la primera vez que entraba a esta urbanización, donde le han dado vivienda a muchas personas de bajos y medianos recursos que no tenían hogar propio.
At the end of our visit, we headed home, as it was late, and the three of us were exhausted from the long hours we spent on the bench.
Al terminar nuestra visita, nos dirigimos a casa, ya que era tarde, y los tres estábamos agotados por las extensas horas que pasamos en el banco.
