¡Hola chicos! Espero estén muy bien porque yo estoy contenta como siempre, porque nuevamente puedo compartirles cosas de mi vida y momentos muy buenos. Este también fue mi primer Domingo de Ramos en la vida, celebrándolo en la iglesia católica con sus costumbres, tradiciones y sinceramente fue muy bonito.
Hi guys! I hope you are very well because I am happy as always, because again I can share with you things of my life and very good moments. This was also my first Palm Sunday in life, celebrating it in the catholic church with its customs, traditions and sincerely it was very nice.
Durante la misa aprendí a hacer las cruces benditas con palmas, hice muchas y aprendí desde cero. Las llevé todas a la casa y colgué algunas en lugares donde normalmente estamos nosotros, en el cuarto, en la entrada de la casa, en el closet.
During the mass I learned how to make the blessed crosses with palms, I made many and learned from scratch. I took them all to the house and hung some in places where we normally are, in the bedroom, at the entrance of the house, in the closet.
Al salir de la misa fuimos a visitar a los familiares en el pueblito cercano. Primero pasamos por casa del Sr. Cancio un hermano de mi tía Narcisa que realmente es la tía de mi novio. El Sr. Cancio tiene 84 años y desde que era pequeño ha sido muy trabajador, es el hermano mayor de 13 hermanos y era la mano derecha de su padre, por lo tanto trabajaba desde muy temprana edad. Los trabajos que realizaban eran fuertes, los trabajos del campo son bastante rústicos y para personas como yo, de la ciudad, nos resulta algo muy difícil de hacer y replicar.
After mass we went to visit relatives in the nearby town. First we stopped by Mr. Cancio's house, a brother of my aunt Narcisa who is really my boyfriend's aunt. Mr. Cancio is 84 years old and since he was a little boy he has been a hard worker, he is the oldest brother of 13 siblings and was his father's right hand man, so he worked from a very early age. The work they did was hard, the work in the fields is quite rustic and for people like me, from the city, it is very difficult for us to do and replicate.
El Sr. Cancio desde hace algunos meses, no ha estado muy bien, está en un reposo absoluto debido a un derrame de pleura y algunos otros problemas con su corazón, es por esto que lo hemos tenido muy presente y vigilado, porque es un señor acostumbrado a una vida muy activa y hasta hace unos 7 meses atrás él estaba metido de cabeza en su conuco sembrando, cosechando y trabajando en el campo.
Mr. Cancio has not been very well for some months, he is in absolute rest due to a pleural effusion and some other problems with his heart, that is why we have kept him very present and watched, because he is a gentleman used to a very active life and until about 7 months ago he was headlong in his farm sowing, harvesting and working in the field.
Llegamos y los visitamos, nos sentamos conversar sobre las últimas novedades y síntomas del tío. Mi tía habló bastante con su hermano porque ella vive en la ciudad a una hora de aquí y trabaja de lunes a viernes y sólo los fines de semana es que ella puede venir a visitarlos, entonces siempre tienen bastantes cosas de las que hablar.
We arrived and visited them, we sat and talked about the latest news and symptoms of the uncle. My aunt talked a lot with her brother because she lives in the city an hour away from here and works Monday through Friday and only on weekends can she come to visit them, so they always have a lot to talk about.
Nos tomamos algunas fotos y seguí disfrutando del día nublado que estaba haciendo y el color un poco gris que todo tomó de repente.
We took some pictures and I continued to enjoy the cloudy day and the gray color that everything suddenly took on.
