Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!
Welcome to another edition of the Caturday update! I hope you have had a wonderful day!
Today is also the Chinese New Year, as we enter the Year of the Dragon. I haven't ever met a real dragon... but I'm sure it would be quite scary, so I think I'll just pass on that whole experience!
But it is a beautiful sunny day outside, so I am warming myself in some of my favorite "sunpuddles" around the house.
Although I am not really happy about it — because who wants to suffer? — I have been enjoying the fact that the Mom-Hooman hurt her back and shoulder, so she has been sitting in front of the TV more, "taking it easy" as the Hoomans like to call it.
Of course, I love my Hoomans very much, so I do wish the Mom-Hooman a speedy recovery.
Relaxing with the Mom-Hooman!
Speaking of TV... tomorrow is also the Superbowl... (or is it Superb Owl?)
so there will likely be more TV time, even though the Hoomans are not huge sports fans.
I guess we all make exceptions to our normal habits on special occasions!
Meanwhile, I can sense that springtime continues to get closer... and not just because our dog Daisy is sneezing more — she's very allergic to all sorts of things — but the grass is getting markedly greener.
This is a good thing!
Of course, it also means the Dad-Hooman will be out there grumbling about having to "mow the lawn." Hoomans are silly about the things they think they can control, in nature!
Speaking of things you can't control... it was nice to see the world of Crypto take a bit of an upswing this week!
Of course, I can't help but think we're just taking a breather till the next piece of horrible news happens and tears that particular house of cards down again.
I guess that's just what's to be expected when you're involved with new technologies!
I am just hopeful that things start going better for our own little world of Hivelandia!
It seems like people keep developing new things, but sometimes I wonder whether the outside world ever hears about them?
It's easy to get people to become all enthusiastic when they are already here and invested in Hive's well-being, but we need "new blood," so to speak.
Smudge!
My extremely fuzzy housemate Smudge is still hanging in there, although she continues to slow down.
In a few days, it will be here 19th birthday, which is a mighty fine and senior age for a cat.
Of course, we hope she still has some life in her, but we also have to be realistic about it. Nobody gets to live forever...
And so, we come to the end of another Caturday! I hope you're having a wonderful day, and wish you a great Sunday, as well!
And thanks for coming to visit... and hope to see you again, soon!

Love Cats? Get Involved in Hive's Cat Communties!
If you're a cat lover and often/sometimes post pictures or other content that includes your feline friends, why not become an active part of Hive's growing Cat Communities?
These are some of the more active Cat Communities — why not join them ALL? Many of the allow you to share your cat posts, even if you started at a different community!
HiveCats by @curatorcat is a central "gathering place" for cat content on Hive; promoting the use of the #hivecats tag for feline content!
Cat Snaps by @manorvillemike is a place to post pictures of your cats when you don't have a whole lot to say beyond just sharing your cute photos!
Caturday by @saboin is a community where we get to celebrate posts relating to Saturday — aka "Caturday" — our own special day!
Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS!
Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community.
There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
