Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities! It's Caturday once more, and I am happy to be back on track with new cat photos!
I'm afraid we never got around to making a Caturday post last week, mostly because the Hoomans were extremely busy and not even at home much of the time because they were doing what they called an "arts and crafts show."
It was a little sad that they were not here; on the other hand, I take some pride in knowing that there was a fair amount of cat hair that went with them to the event they went to!
This week things have been a little more quiet around here and even though we are doing our Caturday post rather late in the day things have returned to some semblance of normalcy.
We can definitely sense that Autumn is in the air now, as our mornings are getting considerably cooler and the sun doesn't quite warm as much in mid-afternoon. Unfortunately, part of this afternoon the sun was hidden behind a fairly large smoke plume from a forest fire not so far away.
Smokey air is good for neither cats nor Hoomans so we all mostly stayed inside with the windows closed.
For a while, the Dad-Hooman was chasing me around with his camera but I didn't feel like being photographed today so when he wouldn't stop I ended up hiding under the bed! Sometimes a cat is just not in the mood for photographs! That said, we did get a few.
Meanwhile, we keep hoping that the cryptosphere is finally turning around. However, I find it difficult to muster up much enthusiasm these days, perhaps because we have been in a bear market for so long. Besides, it seems like every time we see a little bit of an uptick it is quickly followed by a downtick that is even bigger than the uptick was.
It would be nice to think that better times are ahead, and maybe they finally will be. At least I have the sense that 2024 will be better than 2023 was.
Only time will tell whether next year follows the old pattern of crypto prices running up during the year of a Bitcoin halving.
Smudge says hello from her comfy bed. She has reached the point where her rather fluffy Furious getting quite long, and she has to be brushed on a regular basis in order to keep her hair from turning to dreadlocks.
On the whole though, she seems to be happy and quite healthy and is coming up on having spent two years with us.
And that's about all for this week's update. I am looking forward to getting back to cat blogging on a more regular basis and hopefully we will find a little more time to do so. I have a few good ideas for things I'd like to write about!
Thanks for stopping by to visit and I hope you had a lovely Saturday! Oh, and have a great Sunday as well!

Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community.
There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
