Life on the streets is tough for the cats. The extreme weather conditions make their life even harder. We are in the midst of summer and what a summer it is! The heat wave lasts longer than usual and temperature is still rising. Warnings for dangerous hot weather are part of our lives. Right now, I am hiding indoors with the aircon on, keeping the place cool not just for us, but also for our furry members of the family.
At the moment the temperature outside is 33-34°C, feels like 36°C. Next week we expect 40°C. Now think about how the cats outside find cool spots. We keep always a bowl with fresh water in front of our entrance. There are few cats we feed and the entrance is pretty much in a shade, which makes it preferable.
I started with the weather, but the pictures I am going to show today I took earlier, near my working place. There is a calico cat, who hangs around and I saw her grooming next to a tree. She saw me, stoped and looked at me, I took the camera, the light was just right. Look at her ears! 😀
I made few more shots before I head to my office. Here they are, a lovely model, she stood quietly and pose.
This was a pleasant morning, when the cat enjoyed the sun rays. Now all cats hide from the scorching sun to come out in the evening.
