A Stay with taste
I recently had the pleasure of staying in Bensheim for work, and after a long day of meetings, I found myself at the hotel bar, eager to unwind.
The bartender, seeing my weary expression, recommended I try the local favorite:
Hepprumer Beer
As soon as I took that first sip, I knew I was in for a treat. The rich, malty flavor and the refreshing hop notes were exactly what I needed. It was the perfect way to relax and soak in the charm of Bensheim.
The hotel bar itself had a cozy, welcoming atmosphere, with soft lighting and friendly chatter filling the air. It felt like the ideal spot to enjoy such a finely crafted beer. Luckily it was not filled with to many noisy people as I was looking for a relaxed place after my work.

The Beer and Taste
Picture this: I crack open a bottle of Hepprumer Beer, and the first thing that hits me is this wonderfully malty aroma. This Kellerpils, with an alcohol content (ABV) of about 5%, is a true taste adventure. The first sip? Oh, it's a delightful journey. There's a pleasant sweetness from the malt, followed by a citrusy hop note that leaves a light but refreshing bitterness. The texture is full-bodied and naturally cloudy, giving the beer a certain depth and character. It's like a symphony in my mouth, where each ingredient plays its part to perfection.
What's special?
So, what makes Hepprumer Beer stand out?
It's all in the details and the craftsmanship in every drop. The malt comes from a regional malt house, and the hops are sourced from the famous Hallertau region. After a 9-hour brewing process, the wort is pitched with a special yeast from a friendly brewery. The gentle primary fermentation and long maturation of six weeks at 2°C ensure that the beer can fully develop its flavor diversity. This meticulous process is akin to a fine art, where patience and precision are key. The result is a beer that not only quenches my thirst but also tells a story with every sip.
The Design
The bottle of Hepprumer Beer is a real eye-catcher. The label is in a warm, earthy brown that perfectly matches the naturally cloudy color of the beer. A stylized illustration of the historic brewery adorns the label, giving it a nostalgic charm. The font is elegant and easy to read, adding a touch of class to the overall look. It's a design that combines tradition and modernity, wonderfully reflecting the beer's personality. The label's tactile quality, with its slightly textured finish, invites me to pick up the bottle and explore its contents. It's a visual and sensory delight that sets the stage for the experience to come.

The Brewery
The Halber Mond Brewery in Bensheim is not just a place for beer production but also a piece of living history. Founded in 1847, it has developed over the years into a popular meeting place for beer lovers. The brewery is picturesquely nestled in the gentle hills of the Bergstraße, a region known for its vineyards and historical sites. A visit to the brewery is like a little journey through time: here, I can not only enjoy the beer but also participate in brewing courses and take a behind-the-scenes look. The brewery's courtyard, with its cobblestone paths and lush greenery, is the perfect spot to savor a cold Hepprumer Beer on a warm summer day. And if I'm lucky, I might even catch one of their seasonal festivals, where the local community comes together to celebrate with music, food, and, of course, plenty of beer.

Pizza & Beer
Sure, so much work makes hungry and a pizza always works well with a beer.
My hotel bar just offered a simple pizza from the freezer - not the best but as well not to bad.
Hotel views
While siping my beer 🍺 I had the time to picture the lobby of the Hotel. Enjoy the views and have a beer.
