One Earthrise beer to rise me up

in #hive-1877192 days ago

After a week of celebrations, lunches and drinking, it's time to pull the handbrake a little 🙂
At those parties, on the drink lists, I found various drinks, whiskeys, brandies, wines, beers, but I didn't find craft beer at any of them.
There were also very strong, spicy foods on the menus, so in the coming days I have to do some kind of detoxification.
I started normalizing my meals, eating smaller amounts and choosing less spicy and fatty foods and less meat.

For this reason, and in order to join the first #beersaturday in 2025, this Saturday at noon, I choose one from my supply of craft beers that seems like a refreshing drink to me.

Smaller amount of alcohol, and ingredients like for some fruit smoothies.
In addition to beer ingredients: Water, barley and hops, this Sour beer also contains ginger, parsley, carrot, lemon, apple, beet and celery.
A real detox drink.

At noon, when it was time for my snack, I poured myself a beer and took a baguette roll with Mediterranean spices and olive oil.

The color of the beer is interesting and looks nice. Unpasteurized and unfiltered beer with 5% alcohol gives a weak foam when pouring, which quickly disappears.

On the first sip. you can't feel the aroma of the beer, because of the excessive acidity of the fruit they used for this Sour.

As his name suggests, he can rather get into a smoothie, which would make you drunk at some point.
With these baguettes for a snack, I did not taste alcohol in this beer.

I am not satisfied with the taste of this beer.
I believe that no beer should have such a sour taste and that it should have more of a beer taste on the tongue, as well as that the aroma should lean towards tropical hop threads or barley and wheat smell of beer, and not lemonade smell.

When I want fruit (and vegetables), I open the refrigerator compartment where it is.

I only have ginger and carrots there. I still miss apples, lemons, beets...

I will look for them in a nearby market and make myself a proper smoothie, and as for craft beer, see you next Saturday.

Cheers! 🍻 Yes, the sour beers are tricky. I don't like them.

When they don't have acidity, they can pass. I drank Cherry and tropical in Hungary, they were completely OK.

Smoothie Sours are a little gimmicky. I agree they don't taste like Beer, but that doesn't mean they don't taste nice, I guess it's about what you are expecting.

Indeed, I expected it to not taste like beer 🙂
But it was really sour🙂
