Sweet Nothings from a Beer Can.

in #hive-187719last month

Fall is here, the days are shorter and the weather is changing. Warm, and even a few hot days, intermixed with cold and freezing ones. Cold mornings turning into warm afternoons. I find that this transition period tends to be a hard time on the average human body. For me at least. The difficulty can be seen in how many people start to get colds this time of year. This is all to say that I haven't been in the mood to drink very many beers lately. I drank the one in my post several weeks ago now and have been waiting to have another one to add to my #Beersaturday review post. But alas, I haven't drank another beer since, so I guess I'll just go ahead and post about one beer this time around. I've had this one before but let's have another look at it anyway. "Daddy" needs more crypto so here we go. Let's talk about sweet nothings from a beer can. PS I'm daddy in this case. Ha!

Marketing: Sweet nothings whispered by a beer can. Who wouldnt love that? "Somebody Loves you."

Who me? Well shucks. It's a funny thing to write on a beer can but who doesn't love a few words of affirmation every now and then? Stained glass window imagery common among the brewery's marketing. The brewery is housed inside an old church building. Haunting woodland creatures with ghostly eyes are a part of the design, which I like. Nice can. Interesting and effective.

Color: The beer poured a dark chestnut Brown with a ruby red hue to it and had a nice amount of tan colored head on top. It looked rich and inviting.

Nose: Sweet and malty with some fruity notes. Pleasant overall.

Taste: Sweet but with a fair amount bitterness to balance it all out. Dark fruit and some cocoa notes came through for me. I didn't notice any of the nutty notes that the can mentions but sometimes the subtle characteristics of a beer are lost on me. My sense of smell isn't the greatest. Nice flavor overall though.

Texture: Nice soft carbonated texture. Medium bodied. Pretty standard texture overall.

Impression: I've reviewed this beer in the past and I enjoyed it this time around as much as I did back then. I like all of the Beers from this brewery actually and generally purchase any that I can find in stores. Lots of flavor and character and fresh ingredients. Maybe it's just the can talking but it's the type of beer that makes you feel loved by the brewers that produced it. I would even have another if I had one handy.

Cheers everyone!

Youre due for a post my brother lol

Nah, whenever you ready of course hehe.

Haha I know! I keep coming back to view how long since my last post and it's giving me anxiety 😆
I need to get on that

this is the first that i saw this kind of beer brown, i would like drink ones someday :D

Brown ales are fairly common where I'm from. They are quite good. I hope you get to try one one day

Looks super cool! Love the design though. And the beer sounds fantastic. Not the biggest brown ale fan, but I have had some pretty good (nutty) ones in the past! I think the reason I do not like them is because when I still brewed beer I completely screwed up a batch of brown ale. I know, not the best of reasons to not like a beer style! But alas. Thanks for sharing, and I would have loved to taste this beer! Enjoy (and good luck with the changing seasons!).

Yeah the design is pretty cool.
A bad experience can have a lasting affect. It happens. There are plenty of other good beers out there though.

For sure, and everyone has their preferred beer! I even enjoy some mass-produced commercial beers, as I have fond memories linked to them. There are some fascinating links between memory and taste and smell.

Yeah for sure. It's like a guilty pleasure sometimes

For sure, and because it is so cheap, I sometimes buy two for the spirit!

Thank you!

Man, between you, me and @abeerhunter, we sure are representing with Ontario beers this week huh? As our plans take form, we will put our region in the mind of #beerologists across the globe and welcome them here to visit and tour with us someday.

I wonder if we share a discord server somewhere so I can send you a DM. We have something in the works for the end of the month which you might just love if I can get you in!

Cheers to Ontario !BEER

I don't actually use Discord anymore. I have an account but never go on it and generally avoid anything social 😆 🙃
Thanks for keeping me in mind though

Honestly, the powerful color of this ale is more than adoring. Ahh, I believe the taste must be smooth and suitable to the palate. Am jealous!!
