Hello Hello Hivians and all you beer lovers. Did you have a braw Valentine's Day?
I had something planned for the evening, but when I got an email from one of my side hustles in the morning, I decided to head to our local pub for their Valentine's special, Dine for 2 for £25 including two drinks!
Yep it had to be done!
Well we are in the beer lovers community so let's kick of with a fine pint!
We had pretty crappy grey dreich weather all week, but as soon as I said we would go out for lunch, then out popped the sun!
I do love things landing on a weekend or Friday, as we don't work Fridays it means we can partake!
The Robert Nairn
The building is beautiful and was converted from a bank I believe.
When you see the drinks I ordered then you may well know why I was there!
First up was a pint of Corona

I remember years ago when Corona was first available over here, it was only in little bottles and not on tap like it is now. I actually think it did not travel that well, and now it is brewed in the UK it does seem to be a better pint.
Second up was a pint of Leffe

Mrs T is not a beer drinker, but does enjoy a few sips of Leffe. So this is nominally her one!
Artsy drone shot!
Okay okay am taking the piss now, you aren't allowed drones inside buildings!
However it does show how little foam these two pints have.
Not that I am complaining, I don't think lager has any worthwhile foam do you?
I am not going to show the food pictures as that is a post in itself.
You were given two mains, two desserts and two drinks all for a bargain price of £25. Ours came to £44 so we saved $19!
A great day, but as I don't want to disappoint @asiaymalay I will leave the token food shot...
Can you guess what it is?
Token food shot
Branded glasses
The Leffe glass is a banger! Beautiful lettering and a colourful logo!
The Corona is unusual as it's tubular shape is the form of a can.
And together they make for a great pairing.
Are you a fan of branded glasses?
To me, I think the pubs and breweries can justify higher prices if they serve beer in a fancy glass! What do you think?
