February has always been a special month for me, but this year, it holds an even deeper significance. It's not just the month of love—it's also the month that marks our 10th wedding anniversary on February 26th. Ten years of love, laughter, challenges, and growth. We've faced so much together, from arguments to life’s toughest tests. But, through it all, our love and commitment to each other have always been stronger than any obstacle.
Our bond has only grown, and we’ve learned that marriage isn’t about perfection, but about choosing to stand by each other no matter what life throws our way. Having you by my side through everything makes life more bearable and beautiful. I would never want to go through this journey without you. Before I know you I was a single mother of two at the age of 24, and I had my hands full. I never imagined opening my heart to anyone else, but then you came into my life when I was 28 and you were 27. We were so different—me, with my kids and my past, and you, with no experience of that kind of responsibility.
I didn’t think we’d have a future, and I was ready to walk away, believing I could never ask you to take on my life with all its complexities. But you didn’t give up on me. Instead of accepting my decision to break up, you surprised me with a gift—a white gold ring with a small diamond, and you asked me to marry you. You were the first man ever to put a ring on my finger, and it was in that moment I realized how much you truly cared. I didn’t just see a ring—I saw a promise, a future, and the strength of your love. I’ll never forget the way you accepted me, kids and all. You didn’t just love me; you loved my children as if they were your own. Your family welcomed us with open arms, treating my kids as their own. That has meant the world to me. We may not have had the wealth or luxuries that some people have, but I’ve always felt rich in love and grateful for you. And now, as we grow older together, we continue to stick by each other’s side. You give your all to provide us with a humble, yet meaningful life. Through every challenge, you keep pushing to make sure we are happy, secure, and surrounded by love. I can’t imagine my life without you. Here's to ten years, and to many more ahead.
