It’s been 2 weeks since not publishing any content. My plan did not go according to plan; being more active in the community this summer break.
I had to take a break while creating blogs because of a slow internet connection. We are now done with 2 weeks of internship and 4 weeks left before it is finished. I thought I could be more active during this summer break because of my free time from academics.
But it turns out that we have a slow internet connection that we are residing right now. We moved out again with my friends to live near the company where we were training. After the internship, I will go back to my original boarding house and try to continue writing again.
I cannot even share short-form content of threads at InLeo, because the internet connection sucks. I had to go from one place to another just to get internet. On the other hand, I am also trying to do other tasks in different communities weekly.
We went to Manila to submit the necessary documents for our internship. We decided to meet in Sta. Lucia Mall since we are from a different town of Rizal.
It is my first time going to Sta. Lucia Mall even though it is the place that I always heard when I was in elementary school. However, since our main goal is to submit the documents. We did not stay longer in the mall. We immediately left after the meetup.
After eating lunch at Mang Inasal, we went to LRT to go to Recto, this might sound funny but this was also the first time I rode a train. Since I live in the province and rarely go to Manila. We tried getting a ticket for the trip but the ticket vending machine didn’t work properly when we inserted the bill.
So, we decided to buy a ticket manually from the counter. We even got a discount since we are a student. We waited for the train to arrive. It was funny because I was expecting a faster train just like what I was watching from the movies, but it was slower than expected. Nevertheless, we arrived at our destination safely.
We had to ride a tricycle and jeep before going to our final destination --- DPWH main office --- to submit our requirements.
We had a few conversations with other engineers working in the office and it was actually a great visit. The engineers from the company --- even the workers and guards --- are very approachable.
We went home late at night and it was a tiring day of processing the requirements for the internship. We did not even have the time for apartment hunting which was our second plan after submitting the requirements. Nevertheless, we have now a house to stay at plus we are also accepted to have an internship in the company.
