I'm going to swing by with another update from my college life. An annual program which schools often do before the classes start at its official date. Today, our BSIS department facilitated also the Brigada Eskwela in preparations with the opening of classes next week at exactly August 12, 2024. Every class year sections have been tasked to bring some cleaning materials and ours were broomsticks.

The assembly time was 7:30 in the morning and as the clock strikes at the anticipated hour, the Central Student Government Adviser commenced a short and simple program which welcomed the freshmen who joined and announced the good news that we have been waiting for 2 years now.

We can finally move to the new building at the main campus!

When the news and instructions was delivered, we were directed to our designated areas. The ground floor was assigned to the Student Council and NSTP Officers. The second floor was for the other student organizations who collaborated with our department which were the SDRRMU, Circle K International, ACCESS, and the Freshmen. Lastly, the third floor, which was tasked with the third years.

This kind of program stood out to enlivens the spirit of the community service, bringing the hearts of the students and staff closer, as well maintaining the school premises cleaner to safeguard everyone's health before proper class schedules are implemented.

It was an arduous task for sure to clean an entire room full of dusts and spider webs with limited cleaning tools. We only have three rags, a broom and a pale with us, then we have to wait for the other room to finish using the mop before we can use it on our own. The City Cleaners sure have cleaning materials ready to lend but it wasn't enough for the manpower scattered around the three floors of a building. It left us to improvise, use some alternatives or just borrow the cleaning materials we need from others who have those. Gladly, they all willingly shared the materials to us and we also exchange what we have to them. It's a teamwork after all!

Before lunchtime, the cleaning was finally done. It's time to carry the armchairs from the stock room to each rooms, assemble them and arrange. I felt ecstatic everytime each room was filled with armchairs. It was elating to witness that this moment is coming true and not just an empty promise anymore. We have been a tough time travelling to the old campus previously. Aside from it was far from downtown, the rooms were lacking that the teachers were taking over some rooms before another teacher could finish their lectures. Now, they have enough and we could use the new Computer Laboratories. I just hope that the computers are new, too, but I wouldn't keep my hopes high.

Anyway, when all the work was done, we time out and excused ourselves. The Adviser gave out snacks for those students who helped but we haven't availed anything since their stocks weren't enough for everyone. Well, it's okay, the most important thing I've heard this day was we could finally transfer at the new building which is a walking distance to my dormitory. That could save me a lot for around Php 2000 transport fare monthly.

That's all from me. Thanks for reading. Have a great day!

Kakatuwa din Pg tulong tulong SA paglilinis, Hindi mo maramdaman ang pagod.

Totoo din po, parang nagkakatuwaan lang kahit madaming trabaho.

It's nice that you particpated in Brigada eskwela. By the way, it's a great nice that you can finally move to your new building and the fact that it's a walking distance only and you can save money was good news and a blessing.

Indeed, it's truly a blessing. It's a huge help to lessen my expenses.

Cleaning can really be a long process but it's all worth it when you can see a satisfying result

That's true. Thanks for dropping by!
