Hello Hive Friends! It’s me, Dan, your friendly newbie high school blogger. Time flies really fast, and I just celebrated my first month on this platform. I am overwhelmed and happy with your support and love. I am excited to share with you that I have already made my first withdrawal on Hive!
As you all know, I am saving up for my dream bike, a fixed-gear bike, and being on Hive is really helping me a lot to keep up with my savings. However, aside from blogging, I had an instant business idea that came to mind.
As we know, the summer heat is by far super extreme, and Guiuan particularly always makes it to the list of the hottest places in the Philippines in terms of the heat index. Just this past week, Guiuan even hit the #1 spot. So, a business idea came to life.
Let's make a Halo-halo Business
I figured I should start a halo-halo business using my Hive money, and so I made my first withdrawal and turned it into a business capital. I did not withdraw much and just used 35 Hive, which was about 630 pesos by the time I made the withdrawal.
I don’t have an account with Binance or any other decentralized platform, nor even Coins.ph, since I am still a minor and I don’t have any other valid IDs yet. So, my mom @yzamazing helped me, and she was the one who managed the transaction. She sent the money to my Tito Paul via GCash, and upon receiving it, I immediately went to the local market to buy all the needed ingredients for my small halo-halo business.
Halo-halo literally means mix-mix, which is a famous dessert made of crushed ice, evaporated milk, and different ingredients that you all mix together, a perfect remedy for a hot day.
I bought some gulaman, sago, banana, mango, sprinkles, nuts, sugar, evaporated milk, disposable cups and spoons, and I also prepared ice the night before in our refrigerator so I would have no problem when customers come in.
I started my business just last Sunday, and thankfully, I have had a lot of customers. Hopefully, it will continue to work, and I will just keep on working hard to gain more money both and business and in blogging. My Tito and Mommy help me do my business whenever I am in school, and then I help out when I go home in the afternoon. And of course, every weekend, I am in charge of my business.
Wish me luck, and please continue to support my journey here on Hive and if you have any tips or comments on how I can do better in the platform I would really appreciate it. Follow me and let's be friends! That’s all for today’s blog. Stay hydrated, everyone!
