Are you familiar with “KBL person”? It is a joke to a person who goes only to church when there is an event “Kasal, Binyag, at Libing” or during “Wedding, Christening, and funeral mass’’, we call that person a member of the KBL group. My husband is one of the members of it.
Most of the time, he only attended mass during the mentioned events even though our church is within walking distance from our house. Another opportunity that he can attend a mass is when the church is in another town.
When my friend from elementary invited us to their wedding, we accepted the invitation since they also attended our wedding. We started being friends when we were in fourth grade. She’s my relative. We had lots of memories together during our childhood. We separated after fifth grade, but we saw each other from time to time during high school. But during college, we had no opportunity to meet since she’s studying in Iloilo far from Cebu. Thanks to social media, we connected recently after graduated from college and had a stable job.
Now, my elementary friend lives in Consolacion, Cebu. The wedding mass was held in the San Narciso Parish Church in the said town. It was a great opportunity for my husband because the wedding mass was held in another area. I was so excited to attend the mass too since every time I passed the town of Consolacion, I had a desire to experience attending the mass in the church of Consolacion.
We traveled using the motorbike. The mass schedule was afternoon so, we didn’t need to rush to attend the scheduled time.
As we attended the mass, the structure of the church seemed like an oval which we found interesting. When you look at the outside, the church is plain, but the inside is different.
@freshness143 was also invited to the wedding. They knew each other from my wedding and ended close. After the mass was the photo opportunity, we waited for the couple to end their pictorial session and proceeded to the reception area. The good thing about their reception area was it was just beside the church. So, we don’t need to travel far for the reception. This setup amazed me. Thinking about it, having a wedding in San Narciso Parish Church is very convenient since there is also a reception area near the church.
After attending the wedding program and having dinner, my husband and I decided to go home early. Our travel time to reach home was two hours and 30 minutes. @freshness143 was with us when we decided to go home early since she needed to travel to Cordova too.
When we were outside, we took an opportunity to grab some pictures together, since it takes a long time to have a get-together activity.
Overall, the day ended very well.
