When all is well, it is so easy to be happy and it is so noticeable with our gestures. But how about when we are in struggle,is it noticeable the same way or opposite?

So! How do you usually react when everything goes wrong? Join me in this blog and we will talk about how to count blessings in the midst of emptiness. How will you fight if you don't know who will be you allies to pursue your dream? How will you go on when everything went on the opposite side of your goal?

As of the moment the feeds industry specifically the hog feeds is affected of the African Swine Fever (ASF Virus).
Some backyard hog raisers quitted so retailers like us, was affected. Same with our livestock business, we raised pig fatteners but we sold them on the lowest price in the history.
The 1st parity of our Mama Pig was 10 healthy piglets. Of course I considered them as blessings! The 2nd parity lessen into 3 healthy piglets only🥹👇
Yes, we only got 3 piglets on her 2nd parity. We are expecting to have at least 10 piglets same with her 1st parity but then God gave us 3.
We got 30 newly hatched chicks and it ended up into 20 heads after a week and keep on decreasing weekly because of sickness. We are in the rainy season so expected, chicks have lower rate of chance to survive.
During summer We can collect a tray of eggs for 4-5 days but now it took us a week to make it a tray.

I have all the reason to be disappointed and be discouraged, plus the worst scenario is to quit!
But why should I when all these things are for my good and growth?Why Should I if those things can be counted as blessings?

Here are the blessings behind those supposed to be disappointments and discouragements:
*From 10 piglets in the 1st parity became 3 on the 2nd - I manage to assist our Mama pig in giving birth. It was my 1st without veterinary technician beside me. I learned to inject oxytocin to our sow to induce placenta all by myself trough Intramuscular injection (no picture)
During the castration, I tried to do it for the 1st time but with technician's supervisory and assistance. Whoaahh! Isn't it amazing? Isn't a blessing? It is surely a milestone!! I should learn everything to become a self-sufficient farmer.
*From the full packed store turned into almost empty store- this is a wake up call for me. It is time to review and assessment where did I go wrong. Maybe in management or should I say,I need some changes soon.I was so passive in some point but because of this, I should apply what it should be. Thanks God for another chance to grow it again and this time I will make sure to do it better than before.
*For chicks & eggs - I identified the problems during the early stage of chicks and the egg production of the breeders. Got the chance to study the pros and cons. Experiencing this kind of situation in the poultry, boosted my eagerness to learn more.
Got the chance and privilege to attend a seminar about management & treatment for the livestock hosted by the local breeder's association and sponsored by the Battlecock & Farmvet (brand/manufacturer for veterinary clinic drugs/supplies).
Got to understand the whys and the hows during the seminar. It made me understand and I really appreciate because the discussions were so timely with the problems we encountered in the chicken farming. Without a second thought I applied everything I heard. Another blessing right?
To sum up everything, let yourself grow and emptiness is the key.
Jeremiah 29:11 says,
"For I know the plans I have for you,declares the Lord,plans to prosper you, and not to harm you,plans to give you a hope and a future."
