The countdown to 2023 was done and we are now in a new chapter for 2024. As we gathered wonderful memories, experiences, and lessons from the past twelve months, we were able to make a beautiful canvas full of colors. A tapestry of life worth making. This year, we will be collecting colors of life again for the canvas of 2024. As the adage above says, may it be filled with more love, joy, and success. Let's cheer for that!
As I wrapped up 2023 and stepped forward to 2024, it was as if I'm in the middle of two intersections, looking back upon the journey in the past and looking forward to a better future. It's time to reflect on and recollect the memories, laughter, tears, joy, challenges, and triumphs. My life has always been a roller coaster, and 2023 was rather full of bumpy roads. I failed a lot of times; I stumbled over stones, got hurt, was wounded, had losses, and all left now are scars. But deep in those scars are lessons learned that help me grow as a person.
Regardless of awful things from the past, my life goes on. I may have shed tears in the past, I lost a loved one, and I failed in some aspects, but those challenges and losses contributed to shaping who I am today: more hopeful, full of determination, and willing to endure another new year of pain to achieve my goals and dreams in life. Because I believe that at the end of all tribulations, I'll be able to smile and laugh freely without hesitations or regrets.
Wrapping Up 2023 Hive Goals and Setting Up for 2024
I have been using Hive for the past two years, and I am incredibly thankful for all the benefits this platform has brought into my life. As 2023 came to an end, this involved wrapping up my Hive's 2023 goals and establishing new ones for 2024. I was appreciative of surpassing my HP targets as I looked back on my 2023 goals. That crossed over my 8K HP Goal, and I'm just a few steps toward my 10K HP Goal. Although I failed to reach my 1K HBD Goal, that went to reasonable purposes. Buying Hive tokens for HPUD was one of those. Hoping to save more this year for future purposes. 15K HP and 2K HBD, can I make it? cross-fingers
My account is climbing consistently, and seeing that makes me more determined. Aside from that, my HPUD badges for 2023 were complete, and I'm more inspired to continue this monthly tradition for my entire stay on Hive.
Collecting Hive Power-Up Helper badges seems like an amazing thing. I've been collecting since 2022, and I'm planning to continue this to give small support to selected users, especially newbies.
I acknowledge that I only received five out of twelve and was unable to collect all of the 2023 HPUM badges, but I am optimistic that I will be able to obtain all of the 2024 HPUM badges after finishing the December HPUM. Thanks to @coolmidwestguy for always reminding me to power up when I seem busy.
Save and Travel More In 2024
One of my goals for this year is to save more money and travel more. Unfavorable events in 2023 caused me to stash a significant sum of money from my savings, so I need to restore it. In 2024, though, I hope to travel more because I realized that I didn't travel as much this year. Life abroad is uncertain, and I am unsure yet of my decision after the end of my contract in July 2024. I may find a new job, or find a new place. I, myself, don't know yet of my next path. Let alone find the right one.
Life is Adventure for me, so I'll live it carefree and explore to the fullest. I started my new year positively, grateful, and full of hope. 2023 life may be Bittersweet, I'll fill it with more colors this year.
