Receiving gifts from someone you love is the sweetest feeling in the world. Yes, you didn't ask for it but they will do it because they want you to be happy. Just seeing your smile makes their tiring day pay off. And as a sign of appreciation, we must show the gratefulness we feel because of their effort.
In my last article, the Surprise Package Arrived! From Taiwan With Love, I said that I will share what my mom send us inside the box, and here are those.
Look who's most excited here. Haha
Panda: Mom, do I have something there too?
My sister couldn't hide her joy. She is so excited to see what mom got to her.
Haha. Her reaction is really genuine when she saw what was in the bag. They are new dresses, bags, and shoes. She is shouting while getting those things out. Well, I can't stop her because it's too rare for us to receive gifts.
Next, we open this box full of toiletries. I don't know but most Filipino who work overseas will not forget to buy many soaps as gifts for their relatives or friends when they meet, where in fact those soaps are also available here in our country.
I remember my Aunt when she comes home from abroad last September. Their neighbor shouted out loud in the streets and said "Pahinging sabon Flor ha" (Give me soap Flor) and my Aunt shouted back and said, "Just come to my house." Haha.
Hahaha!
Next, we opened the red plastic that was full of sweets. My sister waited for it the most and said quickly "Can I eat this Toblerone now?" Of course, I said, but I limit her because we have to share it with our cousins.
And oh! Mom also send us refined sugar because I told her that sugar here is very expensive. She sends 5kl and they cost $0.98 each only. It is equivalent to 1/2 kilo here. Geez!
Of course, the pair of sugar will not be lost, the fuel to keep my body alive, hehe because coffee is life.
There are still a lot of things that mom sends us mostly clothes and others are household goods but not all are ours because we have to share them with our relatives.
Mom said she has still one gift to give and I hope it was herself. I have a feeling that she was coming home this Christmas but I don't want to hope 100% percent.
If I have one wish this Christmas, it is to be with her. I pray that God will touch the soul of her employer and allow her to come home to us.
Thanks for joining us in unboxing Mom's gift. Soon I will introduce her when she comes home. Cross finger!(❁´◡`❁)
