I have read a lot of posts about Mother's day since yesterday and it makes me smile knowing there are a lot who remembered and valued their Mom. On the other hand, as much as I wanted to celebrate with my dearest mother, distance was a challenge. So, my sisters and I agreed that they will be celebrating this Sunday as my sister is going home. Of course without us as @asiaymalay was too far. To cover up our absence, we will be only sending money to add on their budget, then will be waiting for the photos. That's been our life since then.
Here, all my sister in-laws were also busy so my husband decided that I should ask Mom to accompany me. Then just treat her after. We've been married for years, but this is the first time I am going with MIL alone.
We decided to go to the nearest mall here, Robinsons. Which I am wondering why there is no public transportation going there directly. You still need to cross the overpass. One of the main reasons why people rather choose to go to SM. It was more convenient.
At least before climbing up the overpass this alley looks interesting.
It is also a commercial building mostly occupied by the food industry.
Took this photo while crossing the overpass. At past ten in the morning the sun was striking hot!
Since it was too early to eat, we proceeded first at Robinsons appliance to check the prices of Air-conditions. The main reasons why I went out that day.
As someone who grew up in the countryside, having an aircon at home was not part of my lifestyle. So when we built our house, I forgot to add a provision for it. Leaving us with no choice but to purchase only a Split type. Yet, it was really expensive unlike in window type. Thus many said it is energy saving, and less consumption of electricity.
I checked the well known brands already, that is why I opted for other brands. Yet, after seeing the prices and specifications, we are torn. Should we purchase now or wait after I delivered the baby? That is to ensure how much extra money.
Afterwards, we dropped by the department store for my MIL. Husband says I should buy her something she wants. Yet my challenge was, it seemed she was shy and kept on turning down any footwear that I suggested. It was expensive!
If there is one thing I could say I am lucky is that I never had an issue with her when it comes to money matters. Unlike common problems of some, she never asked for money nor demanded anything from my husband or any of her kids. Though after convincing her and talking to the husband she chose a shoes (the cheapest)
I am hungry, when do you want to eat? I asked her. In order to make her comfortable, we just chose Greenwich since there is no Kenny Rogers inside the mall.
Carbs to crabs, rice and pasta in one plate!
At least just a small serving of RICE!
Where do you think my order is?
This is delicious but I find it too salty!
I just thought we were hungry yet we didn't even manage to finish our food. We are already full.
Who wants some DESSERTS?
Anyone remember that years ago one piece of donut cost only P10? . That box was still cheap.
Yet, I remember the kids promised them a present so I bought a box.
Nope not donuts, just Kidster.
And that's how my day goes. Now, I am back staying at home, making myself busy with some chores.
