It was a sudden trip.
This photo is taken from Google
since i wasn't able to capture a photo from the entrance of Kabankalan due to some technical difficulties
It is the first thing you will see when you enter the Kabankalan City.
It was so sudden that i didn't even have the time to wear shoes and brush my hair.
Me, my mom and my auntie went to Kabankalan city. It is a city located in the southern part of Negros Occidental. Most people there are speaking bisaya.
Our sudden trip started when i arrived in our Grandma's house. My family has an onion business wherein we deliver onion spice all over Negros. We have different buyers to purchase our product and they are called wholesale resellers. After they purchased the product, they will re-sell it to small business owners in the market and those market vendors will sell it to the consumers or to the people.
The prices of our product varies. It could be through season. Since there are many season aside from rainy and sunny season, there are christmas season, storage season and other occasions here in Negros Occidental. Sometimes, it depends on the price that is roaming in the market, for an instance, the price in the market is low, so we the producer of the product will lower the wholesale price as well, and vice versa. During Christmas season, storage season and other occasions, the prices also changes. Most prices are high since there are alot of consumers who purchase spices, since we are a country that is rich in spices left by our ancestors and also because of the colonization.
Now, let's get back to my sudden trip. After i arrived at my lola's house, i noticed that ny auntie and mom was preparing, so i got confused. When i asked them where they would go, they said that they will deliver five hundred red bags of onion to Kabankalan. So i decided to go with them.
When we were in the twelve wheeler truck, i have felt so much joy in my heart, since i will be going to Kabankalan again. You might wonder why, well, Kabankalan is the place where my mom was born. It is also the place where i met my very kind hearted Grandma Liling and Grandpa Teroy. Lola Liling and Lolo Teroy are the siblings of the father of my mom. They are the people who helped my mom in raising me as a toddler.
During our trip on the way to Kabankalan, i have seen the different cities from outside the window shield of the truck. We passed the Bago City, Pulupandan, Hinigaran, Ponte Vedra, Vladolid, Binalbagan and Himamaylan . Although i only saw the glipmse of those places, i can still witness how beautiful and clean it is. The beautiful churches, schools and plaza as well. It was so nice and peaceful.
As we arrived in Kabankalan City, i have felt a nostalgic feeling. The stalls of handicrafts are still there, the the cebro terminal is still the same and the people are still friendly. Although because of the advancement of the technology, the terminal has evolved, mall has arrises, markets has multiplied, and public transportation has gone better.
Later that day, me, my mom and my auntie decided to buy food. We bought arroz caldo, a famous food of the Philippines, in some country they called it rice porridge. We also bought batsoy.
After we delivered the five hundred red bags of onion, we decided to go home. As we waited in the terminal, i took a shadow selfie and a normal selfie with my mom and my auntie. As the bus arrived, we hopped in and slept on the travel on the way to Bacolod After we arrived in Bacolod, we travel again on the way to our home.
And here's where my sudden trip ends. It was so tiring but it was all worth it.
