Rice is the basic food for most of us Filipinos. Fortunately, in the place where we are living, rice fields are everywhere. From what I learned, 3 times in a single year they plant rice. Started in the month of January and ended in the month of November where it’s the last season for harvesting rice.

Now, this month, the planting has already begun. Although, not all rice field owners are doing the same because there are things that need to be considered. Money, seeds and fertilizers; Without these 3, you can’t be so sure that the rice crops will grow abundantly. Rice can not be handled with just one person alone. Of course, you need money to pay people to work for you. From plowing of fields, planting, cleaning, harvesting and many more.

From the image above, you can see a man who was gathering seedlings. He removed it and then tied it together with a couple of seedlings.

Now, this is the whole reason why I took pictures from the first place. I love seeing these people planting rice from afar. With the help of the zoom lens which can reach a farther view. I can focus on the activities of these people.

I took some since I’d love to capture every expression and action when they were planting and resting. They were human, obviously, no matter how fast they were planting because they were experts at this job. They would still take a pause from planting to have a rest while standing.

It’s a tiring job, even I could tell without experiencing it even once. Well, seeing them planting seemed aching at the back. There was this sun too, when it’s too high, it would be hot for sure just like this time. Even so, there’s no easy and simple job, so we should still be thankful and grateful for it.

I personally planting rice like they did back in rainy days last year and perhaps this year again. And thanks for sharing this interesting glimpse into the rice planting season. It's really cool to see how much work goes into growing our food. It's easy to forget that the rice on our plates comes from a lot of hard work and dedication from farmers.

The image you shared really captures the essence of the process. Seeing the man carefully gathering the seedlings gives you a sense of the meticulousness involved. It's clear that it's a skilled job, requiring both physical strength and a lot of patience.

You're right, it must be incredibly tiring work, especially under the hot sun. I can't imagine how they do it day in and day out. It makes me appreciate the farmers even more.

It's important to remember that our food doesn't just appear on our tables magically. It takes a lot of effort and dedication from people like these farmers to feed us.

Thanks again for sharing this insightful post!
